Real exciting field for this one. European Tour players in the field include Karlsson, JM Olazabal, Westwood, Harrington, Ross Fisher, Schwartzel, Oosthuizen & F Molinari.

    Tee Times

    Betting

    My bets are De Jonge for a top 10 finish @ 7/1 & Mahan e/w @ 16/1.

Looking at Kuchar and Leishman, have a feeling Westwood might do good too.
Maybe an outside bet on JJ Henry. Dont have odds for any of them yet as cant check them in work.

    Kuchar and Brian Davis e/w

    Eric Compton e/w

Great field for this event so expect a top player to come out on top.
Going with Robert Allenby at 45/1 e/w

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 541 ✭✭✭fonda

I ended up going with Kuchar as my main bet at 14/1

Put a few small e/w bets on

    Leishman @ 40/1
    Glover @ 66/1
    JJ Henry @ 66/1
    Simpson @ 80/1

Some tasty numbers around, 3 way tie at the top currently with Rollins, O' Hern & Miller on -6. Harrington out in ten minutes in a group with Els & Woodland.

    Harrington -2 through 3...

Paddy dunks it in the water on the par 5, 4th, easiest hole on course too.. got away with the par though. Should be birdieing holes like that though!

Good man Robert. 4 under today will do nicely for me. Keep it up now ya hear me!!!!!!!! :)
What is it with Paddy these days and par 5's.....he seems to play them poorly and miss out on birdies on them a lot where the rest of the field would.

Paddy is rockin the beard today! lookin very Don Johnson... crackin shot from 50-odd yards into the par four there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

Harrington going well so far. Mickelson doesnt really seem too bothered about the
competition tbh, seems more interested in trying to cut every shot he hits getting ready
    for next week.

yes Phil did in 2006,the year he brought the 2 drivers (i think)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 142 ✭✭Ben1010

If paddy can get the driver/3 wood on song ,i reckon he be there or about on sunday providing he can avoid the double/triple bogeys...single bogeys are acceptable..

Think i will put a few euro on him to win the masters.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,677 ✭✭✭staker

If he gets through this weekend without worse than a bogey score,I'll be doing the same.

I think Olazabel or Sandy Lyle might have done it also.

Woosnam did it the year he won the Masters.

Harrington has played some good golf this year(especially in R1/R2) but hasn't been in contention on sunday for a good few months.

He has a chance, but I think his short game & putting just won't be good enough at Augusta. I wouldn't rule him out but I just don't think he'll do it. It's Phil for me to retain the jacket.

As someone said though, at least there was no disasters in there. Very sloppy and lotsa bogeys but no doubles or worse. He must be close to top form.

Today used to be the kind of day when Harrington would have ended up shooting a 75 or
something. Good to see he came away a few better than par. Strong weekend is in order
    for confidence sakes.

Super round from Anthony Kim of 8 under. His thumb must be getting better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭aster99

I can't take to Kim for some reason, don't really like him
