    And yes, had a nasty accident with a flight of stars, my insurance covered getting a new one but I didn't realize that it would mean I'd loose my EShop account.

    By the time I found out it was too late.

    Sorry to hear that, hope you're okay! And I hope that you didn't have too many purchases on your account. That's something that makes me wary of buying from Nintendo's online stores (be it Wii or Dsi/3ds), there doesn't seem to be a proper account system, unlike Xbox Live and PSN. I'm always afraid I'll break my Wii and lose all my classic virtual console games. Are things any different now with the ability to link up with club-nintendo online? I was hoping that that would be an avenue to register online purchases so that they could be reinstalled if a new games console was required, there should be some kind of way of transferring accounts (and rendering the previous [broken/lost] console deregistered to prevent game sharing), in this day and age of digital downloads.

    Your club nintendo has a full record of all the games you've ever registered so if they wanted they could reinstate them but as the games do not query the e-Shop every time they launch or even every time you access the e-Shop to confirm your licenses there'd be no way to de-register a handset. I presume when you use the system transfer option, that sorts it out but that only works if you have both handsets at the same time.

    Surely there's a way that Ninty could use Spotpass to send a deregistration/disabler to a specific user/handset? They can send letters to specific accounts, and they can clearly uniquely identify a 3DS based on a wifi MAC or some other serial number that's associated with it for FCs.

    Who's turn is it on Letterbox Catchphrase? The last one I received was Peach's Hot Dog but I don't think I have the full Boards crew friended (or rather, they didn't add me back, but I don't want to dwell on how sad your life has to be for the internet to reject you...)
