    Super post.

Have you ever tried your all time best Youths 15 for Leinster? Would be very interested to hear it? The likes of Shane Horgan, Trevor Brennan with the younger lads - would be a good side.

Seems a shame that Bandon got a walk over, was there bad planning in the Connacht timing of finals?

Both scheduled for same weekend. Wouldnt say bad timing in Connacht final but both IRFU and Connacht at fault. Connacht finals have been set since mid last summer.
Buccaneers were comfortable winners in Connacht final winning 38-0 against Corinthians
Galwegians beat Monivea in 16s Cup final 25-8 and Corinthians beat Galwegians 7-5 in 14s Cup final.

To be fair , so were the All-Ireland game dates.. They were sent out to the clubs in early August. surely Connacht could have moved the dates a little?

This coming week-end is free as the All-Ireland final is not until the 28th.

Just seems a terrible pity that a team missed out on an playing in an All-Ireland competition because someone couldn't shift a game around a little bit..

You could put the same on the Irish dates and why they couldnt have been moved....

Possibly , but then they could have been asked to move by all 4 provinces - I'd have thought that the All-Ireland competition would be the priority and that the branch level game would move if required.

Buccaneers are quite strong at U18 this year and might have fancied their chances at winning the title and you'd think that Connacht would recognise the importance of having their best side represented in the tournament as an advert for the standard of the game in the West.

Look , they made their call and Buccs won the Connacht cup (again) so it's done , but I just think it's a real pity for the players to have missed out on something as unique as an All-Ireland.

Most likely was the clubs call. And its a pity but perhaps Buccs weighed up their chances of doing double as being far greater than an all ireland win.
Its a pity but possibly 18s connacht game couldnt have moved as well....

Ideally next season this wont happen and all provinces will compete in all irelands at each level.
