Are the Connacht sides massive again this year? The Galwegians and Bucs sides last year were both very large sides

    In what sense?

They were huge. The Waterpark lads said after both their 17s and especially their 19s all ireland semis against the connacht champs their opposition were huge.
IIRC the 'park lads said that the buccs 19s side had some of the biggest players the park lads had ever seen at 18s/19s level.
The Buccs team for example had several players who were and still are part of the connacht academy and played big roles in connachts u20 interpro win last september namely Robbie Henshaw, Barry Digby, Jack Carty, Callum Boland, Daniel Qualter.
Another of that Buccs team Mel Corbett is a top class track sprinter and is part of the Shannon-St Marys 19s going for all ireland glory this season

mel is unique in that he won a connaught and all-ireland with buccs last year and already has a munster with shannon/marys this year and maybe some more

The under 19s semi Shannon St. Mary's v Monivea is scheduled for Ennis at 12 on 21/4. I think the u17 game maybe on at the same venue afterwards-Bruff v Westport I think

To be honest, I don't have a clue how to elaborate on that.... :pac:

I'm guessing Parish Lad is right seeing as we're going to Ennis that weekend to support the 17s.. Didn't know Monivea were playing the same day, wish them the best of luck...

Were Naas luck to hold on then? Tullamore won there semi final 9-5

Both teams had penalties in the last 6 or 7 minutes which went just wide but I'd have to say Naas were probably the better side especially considering at one point it was 13 vs 14 men in Rebels favor

Prob wont see anything up anywhere for it as they wont picked a final squad.
The same can be said for the 19s who play Rockwell tomorrow in Cashel rfc and Old Wesley tomorrow week

Heard that it was the UCC full side, not the 21s. Final score was something like 27-13 to UCC. Much bigger, more physical pack by all accounts. Most of Munster's scores came in second half

Prob would have been their seniors as it would have been much more of a challange
Many limerick or tipperary lads play?

    A very disppointing match

South Munster U 17 League Semi
    Highfield 14 Sundays Well 12.
Good game two pretty evenly matched teams, higlights were a great try by the Well, a tapped penalty in their own 22 ended with them touching down under the posts, and an incredible conversion by the Highfield outhalf from literally the touchline. I think Clon and Kanturk are in the other semi but I could be wrong

Could be CIT or Wilton or musgrave
Couldnt tell ya when its on but it will be on in the next 2 weeks as season has to be finished by may 1st

Kanturk 13 was there main man a superb player for clon numbers 1 ,4,9 1 was great with ball in hand 4 is almost unstoppable in the lineout with clon 9 making numerous brakes throughout the game also clon 15 was poor gifting kanturk a try how did the highfield 10 get on he is definitely a player for the future I saw him starting in the interpros at 10 playing well but only found out he is eligible for youths again this year

Must say it was an incredible kick,so penalties could be costly if conceded Clon lost to Highfield earlier in the year in Highfield and I said at the time that whilst Highfields defence was extroardinary, Clon must have thought they should have won, equally Kanturk beat Highfield. So hard one to call

I suppose it was always going to be either here, CIT, or Musser all on the Southside, dont know who decides on the location,Pres is a decent pitch and sure you can follow the Clon bus to Dennehys Cross and turn right ;). I suppose its like any fixture particularly at this age group, there are two goal posts and two side lines after that its a matter of how you use them I think .Highfield haven't played here since the u 15 final of last year against Sundays Well (they lost) so no advantage there, and knowing the Clon crowd they will be making plenty of noise and I mean that in a good way :D
