The 6th season premieres September 14th on FX[/QUOTE]

That looks really interesting, looking forward to watching this season 6!

    Looks really good.

I still think season 2 was by far the best. 3 was dire. 4 was OK and 5 started promisingly, but spiralled a bit.

    I live in hope.

I'll give it a go but the end of the last one was pure rubbish. Only thing that saved the last one was the hilarious and brilliant James Patrick Marsh.

Anybody watch this? I really enjoyed it, certainly got off to a creepy start for the season.

Not crazy on it so far. The docu-style with the different actors bothers me more than it should.

Really liked the first episode. Wasn't sure at the start about the docu-style format, but I thought it worked really well and was surprised by how much I liked it.

Very strong first episode. The problem with AHS the last few seasons though is, it usually starts well and deteriorates as it goes on.

Enjoyed episode 2. Though sometimes I think the imagery is too vivid for scares or something. Especially when dealing with scenes set in the past.

Looking forward to the third one.

Major improvement on Hotel - as someone pointed out though, AHS tends to start off strong and unravel towards the end the past few seasons.

Liking it so far. The docu style is strange but working. Some of the music and atmosphere is reminding of the 1st resident evil game, which is a very good thing. Very blair witchy as well.

Love the Cricket Marlow character and the nods to Poltergeist's Zelda Rubinstein. Once he appeared on the scene, I really paid attention. Loving nods to AHS season 1's Murder House which was my favourite of the anthologies. Want to see more of Dr Elias Cunningham. One small gripe: Kathy Bates accent is just dumb. She sounds half Irish (accidental probably) and her 16 century Essex accent is not believable. (If you want to hear that accent done well, watch the movie The Witch.) bring on E4.

This has gone off the rails...again! Typical for this show as I previously posted. It's just ridiculous and it's too on the side of fantasticism (like previous seasons) to be even remotely scary.

I've lost interest. I'm done with AHS.

I dunno, I think this season has been a somewhat successful return to form, imo. I didn't like the documentary-style talking heads thing in the beginning, and still dont't, but I've enjoyed the actual story part so far. Interested to see what direction it takes with the second half, since the story told by Matt and Shelby seems to have concluded. And Loved seeing France's Conroy return in the most recent episode, really missed her since season 4, didn't know she'd be starring in this season so that was a nice surprise. Haven't watched any trailers or read about any upcoming details so I'm enjoying the mystery of what lies ahead. Must try to avoid spoilers though, just looking at anything about it on the Internet is dangerous. :)

Great twist this week and for the first time in a few seasons, I can't wait to see it next week.

Same. It was a bit "meh" but love the direction it's going now, very creative :)

Also, rumours that next season will be
    a return to the coven

Think this has been the strongest season since the first 2. Really enjoying it the, the only season I gave up on was freak show.

    I loved Freak Show :D

Wow. This second half of the season is genuinely terrifying, the deaths are now "real" and they are portrayed in horrific fashion. Really enjoying this new slant to the story. It's so disturbing. The scenes with the canibals, so gross. And Shelby killing Matt, yuck. And Agnes becoming an obsessed butcher herself, and ends up facing the wrath of the real Butcher, nice.

Hmm thought it was going well up till the last episode, just pure torture porn it felt like watching it. Gore for the absolute sake of it. Disappointed as there was a good story told up until now.

    Future season announced

Roanoke finale tonight, this season quite gruesome

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,061 ✭✭✭leggo

No idea how they're going to get an hour of a finale out of the story. It all seemed pretty sewn up after last week.

I think I heard it'll be a 60 minutes-style documentary/interview, presumably with Lee the only survivor. I was half-expecting Lady Gaga to show up in the second-half of the season, as an actress/performer, i.e. herself, that would have been brilliant haha. Another aside: I love Angela Bassett. She was particularly hilarious in the 9th episode during her drunken scenes with Sarah Paulson and Adina Porter ("standing there with you lil cleaver"). Oh, and "Good! I hope he was hungry!!"

All in all, I've enjoyed this season more than I expected, especially the second half.

Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson's character from asylum) is going to interview Lee, sounds interesting.
