they sent me a message saying that I was exceeding fair usage and that if I didnt curb my usage they would lower my speed for two weeks.

Did they tell you by what amount you had gone over their "fair usage" policy? Did they even tell you what the limit is? The reason I ask is that I am on the same package with Imagine and have been using Netflix, iPlayer, 4oD, Icefilms etc. for some time along with streaming audio and downloading films, TV shows and music from iTunes along with general internet surfing and I have always been concerned that I may exceed their "fair usage" policy!

Nope, they never tell you. They don't tell you what the limit is or what you've exceeded it by.

I got the fair usage warning too (thanks mostly to Netflix) and low and behold they throttled my connection so it's only 0.3-0.5MB Cancelling asap.

Eircom are bad, but even they're better than this rubbish

At least Eircom now are not charging customers for going over the 250GB monthly limit it was €2 a GB over cap before hand this is for NGB regular and higher packages Imagine are a pure scam of a company it's no better or worse than a mobile network's 3G.
