I've been saying that limerick were the biggest threat for a while now. Cork are too small, Galway would steamroll them but Limerick can mix it physically. Don't think they're at our level yet but coming strong.

Great win for the footballers even if the game was unwatchably poor. Nice to put the croke park and Kerry hoodoo to bed on the one day.
Steamroll Cork........1 All Ireland in close to 30 years and you have that level of arrogance!

What does that have to do with whether Cork are any good or not?

What happened in 1987 is not relevant in 2018.

Where you off to with your arrogance comment. Physically Galway would dominate Cork and match them for hurling. For me there's only one winner. I'd be much more worried about limerick who bring both. It's called analysis not arrogance.

The first half was bad alright but it was a better second half. Kerry were really poor and it's hard to fathom how we only beat them by 3 points, but a plethora of wides didn't help. Galway were far and away the better team and you'd have to say Kerry were somewhat flattered by a 3 point margin.

I don’t think the Clifford goal should have stood either. Looked to me like Geaney threw/rolled the ball along the ground. Actually annoyed me at the time in case scoring difference comes into play.

It wasn’t a great game today, but very pleasing that the defenders really stood up and answered questions about them. They would want to forget about croker for these games though, little enough atmosphere and a fair few of the Kildare Monaghan crowd around me anyway headed off after the first game. Not that I’m complaining about that, don’t think there was many Galway Kerry fans there for the first game either. I was only there for last twenty minutes personally.

Gutting for Paul Conroy, so long at the coalface when times were very lean and having started well today with a nice point, cruel that he misses the climax
of Galway’s best season since 2001. Seen a photo on st James Facebook of the team visiting him in hospital, had the brave face on but it must be a right sickener.

This new system has suited galway and coming into the Leinster championship which now gives the platform to really challenge consistently for AI s.
Limerick today showed the benefit of the round robin for them they didn’t doubt themselves when push came to shove. Cork will love all this talk of limerick for the semi final but the couldn’t bate 14 man limerick in their own back yard.So I’m going for a Galway-limerick final as I feel we will have enough for Clare the drawn Leinster final has given the squad the reality check it needed.
I love this new format imagine a Connaught team representing Leinster again 3 Munster teams in the last four of the AI.
Finally the teams now have the experience of playing more top flight games each year and learning from them for dealing with pressure how often in the last 10/15 years when Kk turned the screw like today against limerick they would have folded and I doubt we would have held on last week either.

Exactly. Galway look very beatable and could have there hands full putting Clare away the next day.

I would worry that Clare might surprise you. Galway aren't a team known for their confidence going by the history books.

what happened in Munster is now irrelevant I have been told and games that happened in the past. Croke Park will suit Cork down to the ground they love hurling there. Limerick didn't turn up in 2013 when they got there in the semi final. Hope it's not a repeat for them and may the best team win.

    I

Tip of the hat sir , got today completely.wrong wrote Galway off saying ye would lose by double figures in a reply post to you a few weeks back

Galway are now in prime possition to make the football final should ye win next week , the double is on , although I would have no problem with ye wining the football if ye could just let us win the hurling next day out 😀

Clare is a banana skin. Have been a team waiting to hit Croke Park since 2013. I honestly think Davy messed their heads and they're only rebuilding now. Saturday was a dire game but in patches Clare were very good. Still though Wexford managed to be in contention down the home stretch.

Up front they offer different types of threats that we'll need to assign specific roles defensively. I feel they are struggling to find the balance in defence though.

Clare never fear us but it's an exciting few weeks ahead for supporters of both codes in the county.

Listen physically Galway are miles ahead of is , they also have a serious bench , but if we can match yer work rate which we failed twice against cork this year in championship and if john conlon can somehow get the better of dathi burke ( the best full back in the country since jj Delaney retired ) we might have a chance. But Galway dont Seem to show signs of last year's success affecting them this year

2014 was a complete write off in Clare after we won , ye seem much more motivated

Don't think there will be too many Galway fans buying into the gloom of football's reported demise after yesterday's game. Great performance, really solid in all aspects of the game (bar finishing, which the conditions played a big part in).

Massive performance from Tom Flynn, I thought. I didn't think he had that level of midfield domination in him yet; we wiped the floor with Kerry in the middle third. With two of our key midfielders now out injured, he's become central to our season.

It says "The event you are trying to reach does not exist on our system because it either expired or it was never published." for me.

Getting this message now again. Is it sold out or any chance of getting any in centra/SuperValu?

Same issue...can only think it must be sold out online. Presume tickets still on sale in the shops tho

One slight glimmer of hope is that I checked the other super 8 games to see if they said similar and the Tyrone v Dublin game says it’s sold out. At least we aren’t getting that message yet.

I rang the centra in Carnmore (nearest one to me) and they said they were selling them earlier but they are no longer showing up on their system but that they could possibly become available again.

No we're not. One lad mentioned that it was best to order tickets for the semi final through your club as it might be easier to get tickets for the final then - that was it!

Is that not talking about the final?

I rang O’Connors Centra regarding tickets for the Kildare game. They said they are all out and also added that they do not have a separate allocation to what’s available online so I guess it just means constantly checking tickets.ie.

I was on it there about 20 minutes ago and was put in a brief queue which got my hopes up. When I got to the end of it it just said that tickets were no longer available. At least it isn’t saying sold out just yet.
