You are the perfect example of why I, and 90% of the people, do not vote Sinn Fein.
Have you asked everybody who didn't vote for Sinn Fein why they didn't vote for them? You could as accurately say 99% of the population abhor The Green Party's environmental policies and therefore didn't vote for them, couldn't you.

Good bad or indifferent the people of Louth have had their choice, its now up to those elected to represent us, we cannot change anything until the next election we are stuck with what we have regardless who or what they are or where they come from, good luck to one and all, they will need it...

some parties make their policies according to what the people want (are at least want they think they want) but sinn fein will always remain a socialist republican party . although in fairnes to fine gael. since their predecessors give the six counties to the unionists they have mantained their position of actively supporting the unionist cause and right to subject the falsely created nationaist minority to oppression they have not hidden this . while parties like fianna fail pretended to be republican but hadnt the courage to stand up to the british. one party has stood alone to defend the nationalist community and they have been rewarded by the irish electorate
