Because we are sanctioned we get approval from police, ministers, doctors and the council. No other MMA show that we know off has ever been passed by the council as none even offer a sniff of some kind of official backing.

Sorry mate I'm gonna beg to differ on that point!! Every event that we do or have done in the Belfast City Council territory has to be passed by the Council, Health and Safety and the PSNI. These are all standard requirements and im sure its the same for the guys at Cage Wars too

Yes territory but not council owned property?? - if you have fair play but they told us the rest where turned down as they had no official bodies and also took us 6 months of red tape and multiple meeting to be approved for council owned property.

Not going to argue with you but as far as im concerned your show is no different to any other, the tag is meaningless to the MMA Community, its a kickboxing 1 anyway.

I like your show as you run it well, the tag, Meh!

Originally kickboxing and karate but moved to MMA years ago.

We were offered the Ulster Hall and Waterfront Hall months ago but were happy to stay with the Kings Hall at the minute. The Waterfront had the capacity we needed but was twice the price of the current venue plus they charge an extra premium if you want to record the event for broadcast at either venue which is a bit of a piss take tbh

Do you have to pay for sanctioning from the ISKA?

Its the termination of the same thing.

ISKA call their new amateur GNP rules 'Amatuer A'

People here call it new C class rules.

Its the same set of rules

Have to say I thoroughly enjoyed Clan Wars on Saturday, great venue and even better fights made it one of the most exciting events I've been to.
Production values are very high for this event too, its up there with the best events in Europe for sure.

I was very impressed with the standard of the under card matches, glad to see the semi-pro matches being reduced on the card as well, when you can have such great matches using the new C class rules, semi-pro seems like a throwback now IMO.
I thought Gavin Carlin and Stephen Owens had a tremendous match up, worthy of being further up the card.

Henry Fadipe is a monster at that weight, although he was dominated on this occasion, he got one swipe in and broke his opponents nose! As he accumulates more experience he will be a complete beast.

Mervyn Mulholland is destined for greatness, pulling off another highlight victory.

I was already looking forward to the next one, but Decky Dalton predicting he will knock out Steve McCombe on the next show has made the anticipation even more acute!

Good Show, setup was good. It was good to see how the new rules are working in the shows. The standard of fights seem to be higher with the new rules, it just shows how the new rules was a good idea.

Henry Fadipe didn't make weight & weighed in at 79Kgs, Dwayne was 76 so a big difference in size. Heard nothin but good reports for the show.

Gutted for McDonald, 16secs was damn fast. Fair play to Merv lockin it so fast.

When will the vids be up?
