    Very windy and overcast today. Not cold, good day for being outdoors, hope sun breaks out in the afternoon.

    There was so much rain this morning, the amount of earthworms crawling on the surface was unreal, hope the birdies stayed in bed and those lads got down below safely again! Blue sky out now, but windy.

    wind knocked over a chair against the back door a 2am, set off the alarm. things are dodgy enough up here lately without that happening to keep me awake for an hour - wondering if the chair was used to get up to a back window..
    cant wait to get back to the sticks!

    Clearing here. Was glad we had wholecrop this morning. Cows got a 10kg/DM feed and beds limed. We'll let them off shortly but just back to the paddock they were on last night. We were buffer feeding all along so they just horsed into the wholecrop without a second thought.

    Seen that this evening while walking the fields. There were hundreds if not thousands of dead worms on top of the ground. What causes this,
    . Does the rain drive them up I wonder
