Spiders silk thread. You often see it this time of year on bushes as baby spiders head off on their life journey.

You get them too but but you also get really long threads that float in the air with a little spider on the end of them. Sometimes if your out herding you will feel them across your face :D

I hate those things. Would often be out at 2 or 3am checking a cow and it terrifies me very time!

Horrible enough day in west cork, going from rain to a heavy mist, and cold enough with it. Feels like October... :(

That's for sure, lotta rain after falling here since morning (also in west cork). I'd say a nice bit more than the 8/9 mls forecasted. Really need to get something for measuring rain

Started raining here at 7.30 and got heavy at 8.30 and stayed till 12. Misty now and cold.

I might have to put on a jumper today, green and gold naturally:)

Raining here since morning, and still drizzling heavy now. Had to change tack with the cows and let them to drier ground, no damage done though. Has really been that kind of yr.

Pretty bad day here. Wet wet wet like the song. Very poor grass growth, thankfully we have a good bit of silage, we might need it yet:P

Nice enough morning here, typical autumn foggy with the sun coming and will hopefully dry it up in a hour or so. At this stage as long as it is not actively belting down with rain I'm happy.
