l did le sean mccoy over 70.5 rushing yards.

If Vicks throws him the ball and he runs with it does that count aswell or is it just when hes passed the ball and then goes.

I should'nt be doing bets l dont understand the rules on realy

No it doesn't count, he has 39 rush yards at the moment.

I'd say its the second one, just when ball is handed off to him but dont take my word for it, would say the first are recorded as receiving yards

Well he has 86 rushing yards now so you are ok. If the ball is thrown forwards to him then it doesn't count for rushing yards. If the ball goes backwards to him or is handed off then it counts for rushing yards.

They're receiving yards, he still only has 42 rush yards.

Bad news for the Jets. I'm a fan of Jim. Sad to see him hurt. No doubt Bellichick will exploit the hell out of it come Monday night.

    Bills at Vikings

Picked the Vikings but am getting torn over it.
Half thinking of selecting the Bills, I could see them win

Toughest pick for me anyway this week

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,014 ✭✭✭Hulk Hands

The Vikings have a very thin recieving corp. Harvin has missed the last 3 pracrises due to migranes, Sidney Rice sat one out as a precaution due to his hip, and it looks as though Lewis and Berrian are both definetely out (may be no bad thing).

Theres even talk of playing rookie QB Joe Webb at WR. Even giving all that, i'd be disappointed if they cant beat the bills at home. I think the -5.5 spread is too steep to be siding with them though

When are you allowed get rid of that sig?

Don't tell me you want to keep it longer then neccesary

Is Harvin having migraine trouble again? That blows. I thought I read earlier in the season they had gotten to the bottom of it. Guess not!

When the Pats lose, the sig can go :)

Biggest game of the NFL season tonight. OK thats a complete overstatement, but it is two potential playoff teams.

    Falcons @ Bucs.

1 team who can't win outside, or away from home (the Falcons) away to a team who can't beat winning teams (the Bucs).

Here is an interesting fact regarding the playoff picture. If you are trying to predict the winners of all the remaining games in the NFL, and you give the edge in each matchup to the team with the highest ranked offense, then the Bucs (with an 8-8 record) don't make the playoffs but the Falcons do (13-3). However, if you give the edge to the team with the higher ranked defense, then Bucs make the playoffs (11-5) but the Falcons don't (10-6). It shows how open the NFC South still is, despite the so-called experts having practically crowned the Falcons as NFC champs already.

Bucs have not lost back-to-back games yet this season, which is a credit to their mental strength considering they are the youngest team in the NFL. They lost last week to the Ravens, who are arguably the best team in the NFL, because of one blown coverage by Safety Sabby Piscitelli (who was cut on Monday morning and subsequently picked up by the Browns). So continuing that impressive comeback stat, they should perform even better again this week. Those safety problems will be carried over into this week, as Bucs standout rookie Cody Grimm had to be placed on IR and the team have had to call up two practice squad players (Andersen and Asante) to replace him and the disappointing Piscitelli. Corey Lynch, ANOTHER rookie, will start at safety. Matt Ryan will be looking to take advantage of the Bucs' lack of talent at that position coupled with the poor play of their LBers in coverage this season. Look for Tony Gonzalez to receive for over 100 yards and receive more targets than anyone else on the field.

The Falcons are undoubtedly strong. ESPN have sporadically had them ranked as the top team in the NFL this year. They are certainly the favourites going into this week. The interesting thing is their seeming inablilty to play outside. They've only played on grass three times this season, and they've lost two of those games. Matt Ryan has averaged a measly 22/38 for 230 yard, 1 TD, 1 INT, 2 sacks and 1 Fumble when outside this year. Michael Turner suffers an even bigger downturn when playing under the sun. When playing outside, he averages only just under 76 yards. Not only that, he is yet to score a TD outside a dome this season.

Another stat which gives the impression that this will be a close encounter? The Bucs will be wearing the throwbacks which seem to bring out the best in them. Last season the Bucs went 3-13 (seems like a long time ago now). They were truly a team in transition, starting the year with Byron Leftwich (now a Steeler) at QB, moving to Josh Johnson (still a Buc) when Leftwich flopped. However, when they played the impressive Green Bay in Week 9 (Josh Freeman's first start) they managed to put 38 points past them and win. Now, so-called "experts" might put this down to the Packers inability to gameplan against the impressive Freeman, due to their lack of tape on him, Or the Bucs' stinginess on defense (Aqib Talib and Tanard Jackson both intercepted Aaron Rodgers). However the true fans know the truth. It was all down to the hallowed "Creamsicle" jersey.

Another reason to tune in, the game will see two of the best young QBs in the league putting their talents on show.

The Falcons are a very good team. They certainly might be the best team in the NFC. They are at least in a very tightly contested top 3 with the Bears and the Eagles. However things seem to be pointing towards a Tampa Bay win today. The game will be close, expect lots of scoring, but very little between the two teams. My heart says the Bucs will win. My pessimistic head says the Falcons are too good for us to beat. The truth might lie somewhere in between. But whatever the score, this game will be tight all the way to the end. And we all know who loves to shine in the 4th Quarter.

And yes, I'm that excited about the game that I wrote all that.

It's exciting times for the Bucs. Raheem Morris has turned this franchise around. He (or young GM Mark Dominek) seems to be a draft-master. For example, look at our 2007 draft class (under the "genius" John Gruden)

    1 4 (4) Gaines Adams DE Clemson - RIP
2 3 (35) Arron Sears T Tennessee - Excellent player, but had to retire due to a concussion
    2 32 (64) Sabby Piscitelli S Oregon State - Awful
3 4 (68) Quincy Black OLB New Mexico - Currently starting, Awful
4 7 (106) Tanard Jackson CB Syracuse - Still a Buc, suspended for the year
5 4 (141) Greg Peterson DE North Carolina Central University - I dont even know who he is. Therefore he's awful
6 8 (182) Adam Hayward LB Portland State University - Still a Buc... Awful
    7 4 (214) Chris Denman T Fresno State - Again, no clue. I'll assume he's awful
    7 35 (245) Marcus Hamilton CB Virginia - ... Awful
7 36 (246) Kenneth Darby RB Alabama - Plays for the Rams (?) now. Awful.

So that's an awful-good percentage of 88.8% (Gaines Adams was awful, considering he was picked ahead of Adrian Peterson). Tanard Jackson is the only non-awful player there, when he isn't getting high.

Now a look at the 2009 draft class, under Raheem:

Round One (17)- Josh Freeman QB - Best QB in NFL history. Obviously.
Round Three (81)- Roy Miller DT - Starting on D, Eats opposition linemen.
Round Four (117)- Kyle Moore DE - Awful. Still with the team but on IR
Round Five (155)- Xavier Fulton OT - excellent player, very versatile. Starts, now and then.
Round Seven (217)- EJ Biggers CB - Excellent value for a 7th Rounder. Has become one of the better DBs
Round Seven (233)- Sammie Stroughter WR - Slot receiver, fan favourite

All of those players are still on the team. All of them are contributing in some way. Awful percentage only 16.67%... and even Kyle Moore is regarded by the majority of fans as a very good player... I just don't like him.

And that, kind boardies, is why the Bucs will win a Superbowl in the next three years. And Raheem Mprris is still only about 7 years old.

I like the Bears -4.5 and the Buccs +3.0. But i'll be watching the Browns cruelly lose a fourth quarter lead to the Dolphins with good old Jake throwing 3 picks i suspect:rolleyes:

Whats peoples thoughts on Raiders @ Chargers later? Chargers are 13 point favs
