VERY light snow in Ashtown for a about two minutes- It has stopped now already...
    IOM shadow effect?

Going by the latest radar, we were just at the edge of where that snow was which would explain the lightness and brevity of it. But I think the stream coming in behind is in a much better orientation for us.. fingers crossed.

Heaviest snow I've ever seen falling here in Sandyford. Went outside to check the depths an hour ago. 1 foot of snow on the parts that haven't been walked on. This is insane!

I'm in Sandyford too but I'd call that heavy sleet - in fact I thought it was raining at first! Thank goodness for the Luas - we'd never have got the kids to school without it today. I've a college deadline this evening and was just getting stuck into it in the library this morning, didn't get distracted by boards (for a change) when I happened to take a break to read email - to find the library was closing at 1.30 and the whole place was closing at 2pm! This country is mad:)

Nearly done though so hopefully can relax and play in the snow tomorrow...

For all deprived Cork fans out there, a small glimmer of hope.
The latest radar is holding up the ppn quite well as it travels inland.
We just may get more snow tonight, fingers crossed guys!!

Best of luck with that. Proper fluffy snow in Aikens Village now. You at this end of Sandyford?

Tbh I wouldn't recommend going tomorrow. It snowed pretty much all day today so snow is much deeper and it's very very slippy around CP

Starting to snow now in Naas.

Looks like it'll continue for a while, going by the radar. The snow showers this afternoon dumped about 2 inches, I wonder how much this will bring.
