The front bar is actually quite cozy and traditional. I like that. But the back part is dark, uninviting and pretty grotty! The basement area is bleak too!

But as has been mentioned already it has plenty of potential and with a refurbishment and a general clean up it could be a cracking spot. The location is excellent.

Still waiting for another decent mens clothes shop that isn't a chain store, other than Tony Connollys

500 would be great news, any links? A quick google has an announcement back in October for 140 new jobs (still good news though).

Probably not 500 off the bat. Over the course of a few years

A lot of work going on this morning in a small unit on Denmark St, just as you come off Patrick St. It was a cafe previously but a very small one.

Tiger might be cheap but the stores don't feel tacky and like a pound shop. I've been in one and thought it felt more upmarket than Dunnes :P

Clas Ohlson would be somewhat similar and would be another great addition if they ever open an Irish shop http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/

Is it an Irish company or chain store

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,304 ✭✭✭RVN10

Its not tacky in the slightest to be honest there are quite a few in dublin and I would say its a mix between ikea and a poundshop. Also there bottled chocolate Milk is unreal

It's a Dainish company I think... I've been to a few of their stores abroad, it's quite quirky and stocks nice products. Happy it's coming to limerick tbh, will be nice to have a gander around it :)

Hi Folks - Please note that anyone representing a business must have a verified account. I have deleted some posts here from someone posting on behalf of a particular business.

Joe, just a point of advice. I called in the other night and it was OK, I felt the ribs were a bit dry under too much sauce, the chicken just seemed like a half roast chicken, the burger was very good, sausage fine.
My biggest problem and it's something which Irish people are passionate about was the chips, you need to be making fresh chips or at least improving on whatever we were served.
Would you not slow cook beef(brisket or similar) like you do the pork?
