It will probably be VW if I had to guess - you know more BB?

Nope. Somebody said it was probably going to be Mercedes because on the Dublin road they have a fairly good Audi and VW setup. Who knows.

Anyway, heres one of thejobs. Gives nothing away.

My sources say that Frank Hogan is taking up the Skoda franchise and it will probably go into the Tipperary Road premises. Not confirmed though.

Skoda would probably be a fair assumption having the VAG portfolio already.

I'm sure Newport Motors is annoyed of true.

Nice to see VW capitalising on this thread with a picture of The 2012 Jetta S to the right of this text box

From what I've seen of them then I'd have little sympathy for them. Wouldn't mind seeing someone open in competition to Frank Hogan either :)

Any one know where this is? Front page of the Leader lastnight (at the bottom) coming soon Limericks newest gastro pub. Would think that with a name like that it would be along by the river somewhere.

    +1!

If it's steamboat quay, there's like a 80% chance it will fail.

There's a fine sized unit over head Milano on Harvey's Quay.
It's a shame nothing ever went in there.

They've applied for planning permission too, actually.

  • Registered Users Posts: 51,202 ✭✭✭✭bazz26

Pier 1 was a nice pub but the interior was run down in the last couple of years. Was in there a few months ago and the place was full of tracksuits and Umpa Lumpas.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,842 ✭✭✭Poxyshamrock

It became the new Bitterend when that place closed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,361 ✭✭✭Itsdacraic

They used to do smashing restuarant quality food in Pier1 at lunch time, but then they changed the menu (or chef) and it slowly went down hill. The new stuff was fine and cheap but you were getting what you paid for.
