where did ya get that ?

Think i got it in PC world 2 years ago , it looks very nice and is very spacious, probably the sturdiest desk i ever had which is a must when i hook up the G25 wheel :P
But i must stress it is a total **** to keep dust off, every second day it needs a dust off with some polish and damp cloth :(

It's time to take that leap into the unknown Cully , my mx510 finally gave up the ghost and it was with great trepidation that I ordered the G500 , but I am alive and here today to tell all us MX510/518 er's that there is an afterlife . About a week after I started using the G500 it was like I never changed ( just leave the weights out ) .

    Dell Inspiron 580
    Machine name: OVERLORD
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 550 @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
    Memory: 4096MB RAM
Card name: ATI Radeon HD 5450
22' monitor and running at 1920x1080

Set up has taken a while to get into shape, but in a nut shell:
I have the PC and the xbox 360 hooked up to a KVM switch so that they can share the same monitor. I press a button and the KVM switch swaps the signal to the monitor. I can also use the same keyboard between the xbox and PC.
Using a mini mixer to handle the audio from my PC and xbox (and phone and MP3 if needed). This allows me to control the volumes of each source on the fly and hear everything at once through either of my two headsets. Useful for listening to music or talking to someone on skype while playing the xbox.
Headsets: TB x31s (wireless) + Wired Elecom headset.
I have only one spare internet cable spare for myself so I have it running into my PC and using a usb to ethernet adapter I have bridged a connection between my PC and xbox for internet.
Hard drives are there for my back ups. Plastic holding up my headsets because I am classy.

Horribly complex, uses up a lot of power sockets, wires need tidying badly, but in the end it is worth it.

Looks like a bit more room compared to your last place dude, nice. It does look very much like a blokes room, your other half has to put her stamp somewhere.

Don't fight it, it's easier the way !

You should see the rest of the room, I don't know why she loves post-its so much :D

How far are you from the north ?

Got one of these a month or so ago, really good tv for the price. Freeview/build in media player and great picture.

Not sure if Argos.ie does the same deal, but i think you'd be pushed to get a better deal tbh.

This TV will not work with digital signals in the Republic of Ireland, you will require a digital set top box or satellite source .

Tbh Canister your best bet is to go to the HE forum

    ____

Canister, maybe take a look at this TV. Gone up from €280 to €320ish euro, but still a good price imo, and it definitely plays digital in Ireland.

You could get that quality for that price range but you'd have to give up on size. ie. not gonna get much over 24"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 88 ✭✭canister94

You all make me sick !!!!!!!!

I'm nearly in tears looking at some of these set ups (seriously i really nearly am). I sit at the end of my bed, hunched over about 2 foot away from my 14'' tv. After a good auld 6 hour black ops session my back is in bits and i need to use a few eye drops.
