No 2-in-1's in Maynooth and the girl there hadn't heard of them either. Got one of the pocket ones though. Will check the one at home when I get back. Neat job by the looks of it.

Also, what do I need to get it to charge my Samsung Galaxy S?! :o

Maybe I'm just a bit dopey this morning but can't see how to connect the two!

Both types are available in Dun Laoghaire Shopping Center.

To charge your samsung, does it have either a usb or mini usb cable to do so? Whichever one it is, plug that into the appropriate port on the charger. The 2 in 1s have both mini and full size usb ports, while the smaller ones I believe only have a mini usb port.

Ah I see. I only have the smaller one. I ordered a little Micro to Mini USB from eBay for €1.17. Must look out for the 2-in-1 in a few more Tescos though, very useful piece of kit.

    Cheers for the reply.

These were sold out the other day in Tesco Clarehall.

They are back on the rack for 3.95 today so I bagged 2 of them.

Great deal because they are selling for 27.00 as a special on Amazon and 50.43 on officeshop.ie

Priced @ 64.99 on shelf in Mullingar. Got it priced checked by the girl at customer services and it scanned at 3.95... had to laugh at her comment: "why has it got a security tag on it if its only 3.95??" :)

I think it's about time to give this thread a new direction:
I just made a USB-powered desk lamp, using said battery and some LED light from dealextreme I had lying around. Works and looks great.
Given that there are lots of more or less useful USB gadgets out there, may be we all should come up with some ideas for interesting mobile contraptions to keep this discussion going :D

Is this is a pricing mistake how is it going on so long? And if it's not a mistake, how come there's not big "OFFER" signs around it...:confused::confused:

    good question..

well - I have certainly visited Tesco more often recently..... though I didn't spend all that much each visit (apart from a few x 3.95's!!). I don't think a few geeks and misers from the boards.ie bargain alerts forum is what they want - it's the people who don't bother to look too closely at the prices.

Still - this forum is the dog's!:D

Put "Duracell Rech2-1Usb Charger Pps3" into search to find it.
I think that's the one. No picture available but same price anyway

    No worries !!
Got one for myself and all the rest were for buddies in work so all for a good cause and none put to waste. Some work colleagues went to 3 different Tesco stores and they were sold out so I did the dirty work and picked up the stock in local Tesco's for them.
Cant pass up a good offer like this as they are priced at $30 on the web
