AFAIK, they take one. so look spiffy! :D

I went to get my student card on Tuesday for my masters. There was actually an old photo on their system from when I was in DIT doing my degree years ago. He adviced that because I looked half human in my old photo I should still use it instead of taking the risk with a new one shot photo. So I'm now 26 and my new student card has a picture of me when I was 18... I'd like to think though that my hotness has just increased through the years!

hii I have applied for a student grand and I am still waiting for an email.I have just registered, but I havent paid my fees yet.I received a confirmation to my DIT email account but its said; ''You have now been registered.
However a fee of 1500 EURO remains unpaid. Fees can be paid online by Visa,
Mastercard or Laser or through any bank by bank giro.'' will I get my student ID card, althought I haven't paid my fees?

    Hiya...

I wouldn't be worrying at all...so long as your registered then your ok...DIT know how long it takes for student grants to be processed, and as a result you just won't recieve your exam results from xmas or next summer until your fee's have been paid by your VEC. Generally, your fee's will be paid well in advance of this...so don't worry at all and btw welcome to DIT:D

    Hiya,

I just went on to register and I was asked this question:

Is this your first time entering a third level course? So I said no, then was directed to this:

Have you ever completed or partially completed a third level course?

Basically, I attended UCD for four months and didn't even do the exams at Christmas. I'm not sure if that counts as partially completing a third level course?

    I don't think so.

I think what they mean is if you had completed a year or a module and wouldn't have to do it again if you went back. So in your case, i think that's another no.

But I'm not 100% on that.

NO don't say you've been to 3rd level before, if you do then you'll have to pay extra fees for the year!!

Hey... Even if you have only attended a third level college for a month ya still have to put it down... It sucks but if you say ya didn't and they find out that it's a lie you could be in serious trouble!

You're better off being honost. You only get 4 years worth
of free fees from the goverment so you'll have too pay. Because you dropped out before febuary I think you'd have to pay half of whatever the tuition fee is. You would have mentioned on your cao that you had dropped out so dit will probably know anyway.

No letter / or email about registration. Just got repeat results and have to carry a module it seems ("retake module" comment) How does this effect my registration? Am I correct in thinking I am allowed carry it, and not repeat the whole year?!
    :o

    Thanks
