It was a 088 Nokia I had in 1999 !! It was second hand to me when I was in 2nd year of college but I thought it was so cool! Next phone was a Sagem. I remember me and my bf used to text each other FOR NOTHING until vodafone realised the whole country were using the texts and then started to charge for them! Those were the days!

    5 Berth, 6.3m x 8.2m.

Sofa folded out to a king size.

    Slide out mirror above it.

Man the times I had shagging milfs after they'd drop their kids to school.

    Good times.

    Panasonic GD something or other.

Motorola d520. Shocking phone with a pull up aeriel, 4 or 5 ringtones which ranged from "ring ring" to "rrriiiiinnnngggg" and thats it! :pac:

On the plus side it was heavy enough to take down a small elephant if you threw it just right.

I had one (motorola i think) with a flip screen around 2001. Blue one(!) and it could get texts but they scrolled across the little strip of screen like those electronic adverts. It's nuts to think of what I can now do on the phone in such a relativity short time period.

It's considered good manners to offer something to the discussion, like why do you want to know? Or what was your own first mobile?

Me - Motorola, cant remember the model.

    That's the one.

We should set up a support group for people that once owned that model.

So tell me .. *crying* .. how many times did the aerial break off in your pocket?

Sony 'Mars Bar' so called because it was the same size as a mars bar 'supposedly', bit bigger, but not as big as it looks here http://www.retrobrick.com/marsbar2.jpg
1995, 088 network and second hand it cost me 150 pounds!
Oh the bills I racked up! no such thing as texting in those days.

My first mobile back in 1996 was a Nokia 1610, the sim card was the size of a credit card:eek:

I don't know what it was called but it was a Motorola phone which was heavy. It was on Esat Digifone which is now 02.

I bought the phone for £99 in 1997 on a bill plan. That was EXPENSIVE!

    Cool for 1997 though.

    Philips Savvy.

    http://www.mobilewitch.com/Philips-Savvy-DB_phone_specifications_144.htm

AA Battery pack. Ringtones mostly of nursery rhymes. Small strap to hang it off my wrist. Living on the edge!

Christmas 1999. I purchased the last Nokia 3210 in the local Totterdells. The demand at the time for them, coming up to Christmas, was unreal.

Amazing phone for the time, still is. Hold one and you'll realise they got the 'feel' of it so right. Nice big screen too.
