I was just thinking about Harry the other day too. How's it going? You were my inspiration to get off my butt and eat healthy Harry!

hi all i am back, the reason i have been absent is that i had 2 knee operations in the past month and was house bound for a good few weeks plus my son was in hospital for nearly 2 weeks, and my dad got diagnosed with cancer so it has been a tough few months.i gained around half a stone since my last
post which considering is not bad. so i am going to start from day one again:( I need to get as near to 11.5 stone as i can without much exercise the knee is not great and there is not much more they can do with it at the moment so the less weight on the knee the better, the doctor has given me 10 months to get the rest of the weight off and he will then have a another look at the knee.so here its goes AGAIN......
    DAY 1

BREAKFAST: Porridge with honey= 250 kcal

    SNACK: Apple= 80 kcal

LUNCH: pita bread with cheese and tomatoes 340 kcal

DINNER: Steamed chicken and steamed veg =675 kcal

    SNACK: Apple= 80 kcal

    Hi harr,

Unfortunately we're not allowing food diaries on the N&D forum anymore. I think that some of the regulars have set up an off-site forum or a Google Docs diary resource so I'm going to leave this open for a bit to let someone guide you to that. Keeping an ongoing diary here won't be possible anymore I'm afraid though.

Best of luck with your weightloss journey.

Hi Har I have just come across this tread and I have to say you are inspirational I have only managed to read the first few pages (will read them all later) and I am so impressed with the changes you made and how much great advice you got here and how willing you were to take it all on board and follow it! I am doing ww but I want to start doing it in a more healthier way than eating lots of carbs so I will be copying a lot of your meals!
I am sorry to hear about your dad thats a real blow, and your poor son hope hes doing good now.
Fair play to you for taking control once of your diet again I am sure now you have the knowledge you will fall back into it with ease. Best of luck with everything.

Oh ya astra, harr is the man of the food diaries!!

Am delighted to hear you are still on track, i know it must be very tough to have to concentrate on calories etc when you have so much going on in your life but its not being selfish or anything talking about your weight and your food intake, its just simply taking care of yourself

You were ready to do it though, until you get into that place you can get as much advice and support as one can take and it will make no difference.

Good luck anyway, its a great thread for anyone beginning out to see that you can do it
