looking at the 04 pga leaderboard! theres a couple of interesting names on there alright who did well in that year. leonard, d. clarke, davis, els, and phil. all not playing too badly at the mo either. im already on stricker 22/1 and de jonge 150/1! would love to throw in a few of the names above but on a bit of a budget this week. might do small bets.:D

Well they haven't won the last 2 so maybe the trend is changing but look at the list of winners here.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PGA_Championship

USA have won 12 of last 20, go back another 20 years it was 18 out of 20. Obviously lots more international players now of course.

Again as i said earlier it's europeans that have a poor record and the non americans that win tend to be full time on the PGA tour.

Going for €10e/w on Kaymer @ 50/1. Like this fella. Finished top 10 last year (I think) and has been playing well recently.

So in the end I went with..

    Stricker
    Leonard
    Van Pelt
    Watney
    Palmer

First time I've never picked a European. Scott and Harrington were the other ones I considered betting. Watney came into mind after reading a blog and checking his stats this year. Caved into the Stricker bet admittedly :P
