Thought there should be a stickied thread for replays.

    Rules:
-Post a link to the replay
-Give as much information about the replay as possible, ie races/time lenght/player names and any other bits you feel relate to the replay (like an awesome strategy)
-Don't spam the thread as people will look back to this for ideas and new strats, saving them the hassle of reading through it all.
-Replies must be topical, insightful and not half arsed.

Perhaps this thread should be modded heavily to keep the spam/chatter down.

sc2rep.com is a good site for replay, maybe we can make a replay sites list on OP. i also used gosugamer alot for getting replays. is the replay about our own game or we can discuss some pro player's replay here?

i saw this last night and i had a good laugh :D Idra(renown USA kid in korean as a pro zerg player)maybe a d*ck but he is indeed a macro machine!
    Replay link:http://www.sc2rep.com/replays/show/id/224
My Comment: is basically idra came to US server to pub stomp a terran guy. terran player is good(i am assuming they both in diamond league) but from this replay you can actually see there is a huge gap between pros and good player. the game took about 48minutes(a lengty game, which is why i dl this replay ) - they have some good fight, i can see idra is toying him from the start but he is playing on fire, the terran guy comes very close to gg him at some stage. i'd call this replay: 'The invasion of zerg', insane macro skills of idra!!i love how he 'invaded' planet earth(he owns the map) and this human race is tryng to fight back lol

Epic game of TLO vs Hasuobs

Almost 45 minutes long with some nice BC vs. Carrier action and back and forth fighting throughout. Some really nice play on both sides, especially like TLO's early harass attack, was really well executed but it's equally impressive that Hasuobs manages to stay in the game after.

so many brilliant games I've seen recently..

I'm in work now so I can't link anything, will try later but..

Have a look on youtube for a player called Masq - hes a terran cheese player, beaten Idra, etc.. basically, what he does, and I have to admit he does it very well, is he goes for a sudden strong push, tanks and marines or just mass marines.. with devastating effect..

The game that is very interesting, is one in which is hes his vicious mass marine push, I think about 7 or 8 barracks.. but the player he is up against is on OGS.. a.k.a. Tester.. whom he doesn't seem to know..

What ensues is a truly great game, of course I can't find the bloody link now blocked in work, will check later..

Also check out SCLEGACY on youtube, nice games on that channel

I would never have thought I would enjoy watching replays that weren't my own, I think a lot of it boils down to commentary that is engaging. None of those irritating american commentators though, too painful.

For that reason, I like the shoutcraft casts hosted by totalbicsuit. Good bit of humour, interesting and insightful analysis and some good matches to watch.

    Channel on youtube.

    Example of a good match:

Yeah, he's really good at what he does. Really breaks things down and helps a n00b like me understand what's going on!

And with that off I go to watch his daily...

I also like Husky and HDGamer.

I just had a match there a short while ago, and after the match was over got talking to my opponent and we decided to watch the replay of our game together, talking about our game plans and tactics and generally complimenting and criticising. It was almost more fun than the game itself.

Is it possible to post up matches against the A.I?If so how?

You just save a replay. If you want to do your own commentary and maybe rise to internet stardom, use FRAPS or similar utility to capture the video and dub your commentary onto it.

SC replays aren't video files anyway, I'm not sure what they record, probably just a list of commands and positions and chat.

Played a game there earlier tonight where my opponent pretty much caught me with my pants down with a fast 1 base roach rush. Turned into one of the most hectic games I've played. Link to download it is here if anyone fancies watching it!

Nice comeback. I thought it was gg when he wiped out your mineral line. I was surprised the zerg didn't expand to his natural when he had the advantage and minerals. Instead he expanded to the bottom left corner and did nothing.

Yea if he was a bit less aggressive toward the end he probably should have won. Was surprised when he called GG cause when his Lair went down I didn't get the being revealed message and assumed he had another working base somewhere. tbh I thought I'd lost it from the initial roach/ling attacks and had almost left at that stage :D

Replay of which im both proud, amazed and embarrassed.

Not a very high level game, top end of silver division.

    1v1 League (Silver)
    Terran vs Terran.
    1 hr 15 minutes
    Replay: http://www.filefactory.com/file/b2f2fe2/n/Epic_Battle_.SC2Replay

Fairly quiet up to the ten minute mark. He then attempts a small banshee attack while i drop in 2 medivacs worth of troops. Both are somewhat succesful.
Fairly quiet again for a bit (where i should have fortified my ground defence but was expecting another aerial assault). He then knocks down my front door and flattens 80% of my main base). Luckily i had an expansion up.
After that I basically just fought to stay in it for a loong while. Tried to stop him expanding while expanding myself while being constantly harrassed by him.

Eventually I manage to win but resources on the map were running low :O
Not very highly skilled game with both of us (after watching replay) making mistakes. Mine being glaringly obvious and his being that he never seemed to push on to finish me off. Perhaps thinking I actually had an army hidden away!

Please feel free to point out my major mistakes if you decide to watch :)

Nice game funky, was kind of shocked to see the zerg transition into muta while still working off one base. Still any game with phoenix play is win win, love those units!

Yea it was a weird transition alright, guess maybe he wanted to keep me contained while he expanded or maybe hoped to just do enough probe rape with the first few that I'd be too far behind.

Pretty cool game, liked the fungal growth followed by dropping infested terrans in the middle of the terran army for the tanks to friendly fire them :D

I spent the last two days watching a horrendous amount of games, its super fun to watch I must admit.

Been watch alot of CheckPrime(Zerg) The little one (terran) and madfrog( an oldschool wc3 player i was fond off, very good SC2 player aswell)

Funny how madfrog plays zerg, he played Undead in wc3 and was the master of surrounding units and rushing :)

I just did a PvT. I'm still in bronze. Haven't played much lately due to other commitments. Give me some tips as I know i had a lot of minerals at the end.

    Replay here @ Sc2replay.com

    <snip> Tips Please </snip>

Just from the quick run through the rep i saw alot of mineral floating from the start and it looks like u got abit lost after the gate n core were down? Basic advice would be to just learn solid builds for each match up. A good opening makes a world of difference. Download YABOT (Yet Another Build Order Tester) and practice the builds included. The idea is to get the structures/units building right when you have the minerals for it, then rince n repeat till you get your time to complete the build down as low as possible.

Just as an FYI the general rule of thumb for protoss is that you can support 4 gates off one base (or 3 gates and a robo/stargate). This means all 4 will be producing constantly, it doesn't limit you to just these 4 but anything else will require a cut in unit production, which is fine at times.

The CraftCup finals were some absolutely amazing games, link. Socke is just a machine.

Check out the dimaga games from the earlier brackets aswell link.

I'm going to have to hunt down a rep of the merz v morrow game, it was insane. Merz was sitting at 345 APM Average at one point.

I had that but didn't know there was a build list included. I thought it was just to practice timings and macro. Going to have another look.

I was kinda proud of sneaking a pylon into his base though after i first warped out he was standing near it. Even after killing my initial force he never went after the pylon.

My 2nd 2v2 placement game on Arid Wastes was pretty funny, the other team TP vs ZP tried to cannon rush us then baneling bust my teammates base, I thought we were done for, but once we got siege tanks and void rays it was just mopping up mostly.

Longish game cos I'm a noob and 1st real teamplay so I'm very slow, but go to 4x speed for most of it! :D

I'm usually a big fan of husky who has been putting quality shoutcasts on youtube, unfortunately has sold out and every video has a massively boring advertisement before the video : /
