Anyway... digging some Turkish sounds at the moment, this guy Burhan is excellent, he did some work also with Pete Namlook of Fax fame but the below is him in his traditional format.

Also finally got around to 'Young Team' by Mogwai in the last couple of weeks, bought it several months ago but kinda forgot about it amongst several other purchases at the time, my recent music buying drought has me dipping back into stuff I hadn't properly explored and thats been proving extremely fruitful!

That Silver Apples is pretty good alright, loving the percussion.

I keep meaning to pick up an album by Belle & Sebastian, I've heard them many a time at sessions in mates houses etc but never got around to buying anything...

Yeah its a great album, love the intro and on into 'Breath'. This was another I took on my travels last week - its a real album in the truest sense of the flow etc. Also pretty special to me in terms of memories of my teens... Us and Them almost brings a tear to the eye every time I hear it.

Agree fully, it's the album that got be into floyd. still sounds fresh today, Us and them is an amazing tune and brings back great memories.

Actually that Live at Pompeii DVD is one the most amazing combinations of music and video I've ever had the pleasure of watching - I'd say I've watched it 5 or 6 times now since first watching sometime before Christmas.

Fck watching it now has me tempted to watch it again tonight!

I love the early stuff-one of my prized 45's was a DJ promo of See Emily Play, which mysteriously disappered from my collection years ago, I trawled all the record shops (and there were quite a few back then) in a vain attempt to find it
Obviously a collector took it-if you are reading this I'd like it back please!

I swear I cannot get enough of Low this last week, already picked up 3 of their albums. I can't get hold of their first album though, seems to be pretty rare but will keep digging - absolutely love the track 'Lazy' from it, amazing.
