Get rid of Tatical Insersion?

    Was playing FFA yesterday, and almost every game was ruined by nuke boosters. I was thinking, is it worth having tatical insersion? Very few people use it other than nuke boosters. Should infinity ward get rid of it?

    I think it should be kept, but changed.

    I sometimes use it on domination, around certain flags in hiding spots so if they're taken, I can hopefully try and reclaim it.

    Also they're handy for maps like Estate IMO. The room that was the pool tables downstairs, if you stick a TI on the bench there (that's under the stairs you go up), it's very easy to get some fast kills by storming the house and respawning downstairs again.

    Yea though definitely get rid of the place TI, die, place TI, die, place TI system they have now.

    Maybe that you can't place a TI within so much distance of someone? Or you can only place one every minute? Or that you can place a limit of 5 per match?

    A solution to it definitely needs to be found before the next game is released. My two cents anyways ;)

    I dont use them, did once to get the challenge where you kill people within 5 seconds or whatever it is. but to me they're just a free kill, lets be honest people put them in the stupidest places, you can see the flare through walls most of the time, the sound of it is unmistakable and you can hear it a mile away, if i hear the sizzling flare sound I just look for it, kill whoevers nearby, run back and kill him again, 2 easy kills. their negatives outweigh their positive uses tbh, the maps arent THAT big where you cant easily get back to where you were.

    Like Leeg17 has said, it can be very useful for other things like staying close to objectives.
    But I do think a good idea would be to add a cooldown to it, such as only being allowed to use it every 40 seconds or something. Then that would reduce the amount it would help boosters, while still allowing for it to be used somewhat effectively to help with objectives.

    The limit per match would be better, least it would prevent boosters getting more than 4-5 kills out of it. I might try using it more now just to see what can be done with it.

    Exactly krudler. Maybe have it like a death streak or something to make it fairer to lesser players

    Just take it out of FFA, that would solve most issues, there's no real use to it in FFA except for boosting

    Or maybe if you put down a TI and die, you cant put down another one for 30-45 secs or something, on big maps if you know people are boosting they can get a predator or harrier sometimes by the time you make it over to them, and once that happens is hard to stop their air support and deal with everyone else at once as well.

    I don't think setting limits is the way to go - that'll just get messy and overcomplicated. Just get rid of it full stop.

    Have to disagree here. Putting on a limit would massively decrease boosting.
    I think 4/5 per game would be ideal. If you need anymore,well,you shouldn't be playing the game :p

    i started using them on my rushing class.rush to their spawn put the ti down get a few killls,get killed and back for more

    OMA usage should definitely be limited! I used it to complete the OMA challenge (done all perk challenges) and it was insane. Playing demolition on Vacant - standing outside with M16 Grenade launcher looking in at the A bomb site. Lob 2 in, reload,lob 2 in,reload. Repeat process until you have an insane amount of kills.

    Finished the challenge in a few games.

    750 kills in "a few" games?

    Back on topic, I don't see why the TI can't be just taken out of non-objective based games, or FFA at least. It's quite handy if used right and in the right situations

    The amount of nuke boosting in ffa lately is unreal. Far more than half of the games I joined since Friday had boosters. It's fun trying to kill them every now and then, but when you notice the 6th or 7th game in a row has them, its annoying. They have to limit them in ffa

    I'm a hunter myself and I love nuke boosters. But it can be an annoyance on Domination as you dont notice it til way too late.

    Also I love it when there's two groups of nuke boosters in a game which is hilarious (plus more free kills!) and then when there's a fellow hunter. When both happen and the fellow hunter has a mic it leads to a fun game.

    i love hunting boosters me and a mate jump into a ffa both with mics only to hunt them down can be great fun but to sort out the problem they need to put a cap on it how many u can use per game ect..

    I always wanted TIs to work like being dropped behind enemy lines. So, you can only drop the flare outside (or it doesn't work, it's a flare after all), and after you drop it you're parachuted from air support back into the general area after death. Add 15 seconds spawn delay for the extended animation of some air support, and so people can pay attention to you as you come in, but you're invulnerable until the seconds after landing.

    Best one I ever had....

    She was rightly asleep @ about 3am, took the shoes off in the living room, tip toe tip toe....., mobile used as a torch, tip toe tip toe....., into bed with the pants still on :eek:.... bam.... slipped it in there.... she'd no idea where it came from.


    I think I had ninja perk on too but that was my best tactical inserstion.

    unfortunately its not the actual equipment thats the problem . at the end of the day everything there was intended to be used for certain purposes . ti's to help hold a valuable choke point or to guard an objective oma to help people adapt to new threats like say enemy air support without having to die (switching to a class with a stinger say). but then you have people who spam the game with nube tubes using oma or boosting with ti's . its these people that are the problem and people like that will always find a new way to be a pain in the ar*e

    Long time since I've played MW2, but I used it to great effect when protecting a bomb: would spawn at the same spot every time, and jumping out and killing people with meh full auto weapon.
