I was bothered at first by the empty space in the bottom third, but it gives a nice spot for a widget or icons :3

Got this from Xda. Some guy posted something similar. Love it's simplicity.

Nova launcher allows you to do so,you can set up a toggle on/off button.
Ive done so and changed the toggle icon to an invisible icon, works great :)

AOKP is Android Open Kang Project. More info here

PA is a custom ROM. It stands for Paranoid Android.
CM is Cyanogenmod. Its also an alternative firmware for your phone.

If you want a customisable phone with a real google experience then these ROMs are worth checking out. Loads on info on the XDA forum.

Does the icon pack only work on a rooted Nexus?

I think it just depends what Launcher you're using. I'm using Nova :)

Icon packs can be added to certain launchers, like Nova, Go Launcher or ADW. Not all icon packs are compatible with each launcher though, so just keep an eye on that...

So I need to install a launcher first basically?

    Yes.

You don't need to apply the icon pack to the app drawer - I like to keep that stock and use another icon pack for the home screen icons.

Just long press the icon to edit it and select the respective icon from the icon pack you downloaded.

Went back to stock as messing around way too much!! :D

Lads I'm stuck on this one!! I have the wallpaper and the nova settings set up! I've downloaded the UCCW files to dropbox

The problem I'm having is when I go to UCCW widgets, select 1x4, and unzip, I can't seem to find the file I downloaded from to dropbox anywhere?

    Any help lads???

  • Registered Users Posts: 31,817 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Don't unzip them as your putting on the widget. Open up UCCW and open or import (whichever phrase is correct!) each one. Then go through the process of adding them as widgets to your screen.

I got it sorted last night by messing about with it :D

Only problem left I am having now is the weather, its not working properly at all, the location is fine but the temp/forecast etc is not right! I tried unzipping the 'use this if your weather is not working correctly' file in the folder provided but it seems to be the same....

    Any ideas?

  • Registered Users Posts: 31,817 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Have you set the weather to show Celsius in the settings?

I think the screenshot feature is overcompressing, shots look very underwhelming now that I pull them up here.

Boring as hell layout, but very functional for me.
