I dont know if its still there.

But when i was in fas in bolton street, there was a place called decos right beside it, done the nicest breakfast roll ive ever had, done a fine chicken fillet roll to.

+1 for Deco's on Bolton Street.

Can't remember having a better breakfast roll.

I think Deco's is gone now. Tasti Kitchen on accross from the Mater hospital does a lovely breakfst roll.

Ah noooo thats sad to hear now, that place kept me and my stomach happy many a time. Suprised its gone there was always ques out the door for the rolls. I have craving for a decos now.

Overweight? thats an understatement the man used to dwarf the counter around him. Was A nice bloke though.

Has to be said, and nothing against foreign nationals per se, but they don't understand breakfast rolls, so anywhere with a Dub serving is usually the best.

Best I've found personally, Clarkes Bakery on the Cabra Road.

    Deco's is gone?

That is sad news, possibly was the best breakfast roll in the country,
and I've eaten breakfast rolls all over the country. :D

Was contemplating going driving to Bolton Street to see if I could get a breakfast roll earlier.

Generally speaking, whatever the nationality, the roll-maker should ideally have been locked the night before (or at least sympathetic to the concept) to understand that hungover patrons require their breakfast rolls to be bursting at the seams, no matter what the management directive is.

And no thick questions like what do want on it? Everything, you dope.

Are you recommending Super Valu breakfast rolls here or saying there is super value to be had in Cafe Sofia?

Oh and just one thing breakfast roll makers - hash browns do not belong in there. They belong in a greasy bag on the side.

    Thank you.

I havent one in years but i prefered to make them myself and just with ketchup and sausages. Anything else would make me gag. And the rolls and sausages would have to be from Superquinn. Yummy.

There's a shop called Sarah's in santry, left turn before the omni centre if you're coming from town.
If you want a breakfast roll you gotta wait a few minutes because they never have the food sitting there and its usually cooked fresh in front of you.
If memory serves, the breakfast rolls have three fat sausages, two freshly fried eggs, two back rashers and pudding if you want it.
It is the best breakfast roll i have ever eaten, bar none.

Donovan's Butchers in Neilstown. A bit out of the way but top class. (And their own black & white pudding and sausages are fantastic too).

Get breakfast in Matts every so often, on a saturday and sunday morning/afternoon there's constantly guys going in and leaving with 5-6 breakfast rolls for their mates. Haven't had a breakfast in dublin as good as Matts

There is a good place on the Walkinstown Roundabout, just up from the National Irish Bank.

And for those worried about the demise of Deco's, the man is still alive, and as big as ever. Loved his breakfast rolls. FXB's on Moore St used to do a good sandwich, not as good as Deco's though.

Its on The Sundrive Road opposite Superquinn. Heavenly food is an understatement

I also like Earls Bakery on North Earls Street. They use proper bread rolls instead of those rock solid cusine de france ****e ones

Based on the reviews here I took himself to Matt the Rashers for his birthday earlier this week. He had the Famouser that Crosáidí mentioned. It went down a storm, he's still talking about it!

    Cheers Boardsies.

I don't know about the best but the worst one I had were those microwavable ones you could buy in the supermarket.

I would have to disagree, go back a couple of years and it was magic but the last couple of years its gone down hill. Havent had it in a while do so maybe its back to what it once was..

My new favourite place would have to be "Bites", cant think of the exact location but its tucked in behind where the old 7th lock pub in ballyfermot use to be and its top grub!

    Try it out...

Theres a newsagent on the Old Naas Road that doeas a great roll, they fry the egg tomato and onions while you wait and have the bugger bursting at the seams (trhe way it should be). Going into town on the Naas Road its the road on the left about 100m before the Kylemore Road traffic lights, about 50m down on the left is the place.
