Theories about Amy

The first episode was unusual was it not? she didnt seem to have parents, nor worry about them waking up, and when older ( but still just 19) she was definitely alone in the house. I have a theory she is not human. Will elaborate later in the thread. Any takers?

It is more likely that the Doctor can remember by the fact he is a Timelord. Amy can't remember, in the TARDIS or not, because she is not.

Either or also - depending on point of view - the Doctor said that she could remember the clerics that disappeared cos she was a timetraveller and they weren't part of her personal background. Rory was part of that so her own personal history was changing which was why her memories were being erased/were erased.
