Is it OK not to like something?

No biggie but can a person just not like something?

Is it such a problem for others? So I don't like those smelly fancy cheese.
I like cheddar! Just a straight forward normal cheese! Just not those real fancy smelly ones. I have no strong feelings on them or those that like them, or the subject really.... but the group of people I was with earlier today would not let it go. Like I needed to be analysed? or some such!

Have you ever just not liked something and others felt the need to enlighten you on the errors of your ways?

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue. Had a pretentious twat tell me I was "wrong" for not liking it.

    No, it's not OK.

You must like what I like!

Of course it's ok to dislike something. Unless I like it. Then you're wrong.

Who knows what people mean by "like" these days? Y'know what I mean, like?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,273 ✭✭✭EuskalHerria

OP best tell everyone where this is actually coming from, then we can pick apart what you say humourously getting you no further to the answer:D

Most things are subjective and you'll find not everything has a right or wrong tag attached. Conformist!

Define normal cheese? I agree the White Cheddar is the staple of all cheeses, and is quite delicious, but there are so many more. Edam for example is a lot stronger and has an almost nutty flavor and is not best eaten on its own but makes a super Kickass cold-cut sandwich. Then you have your Bleu Cheese which is just unbeleivably great on a rasher sambo or better yet, a steakburger with rashers on it. omz.

And where would we be without brie? Ah, brie. Next try as many food combinations as you can think of with cheese. just a cold slice of cheese. Cheese with chocolate. Cheese with nuts. Cheese with coffee. Mmm..hrgk! Grk!

    /dies from stroke.

Plastic Cheese is the bane of all life. Still, it holds its own on a Sausage and Egg Biscuit from McD.

And then theres what I can only refer to as Yank-Bread. Theres more Preservatives in it than flour. Ugh.

I hate that song too. And I know quite a few people that do too. He took the Postal Service, completely ripped them off, and managed to do it by removing all that makes the Postal Service good from the song. HATE it.

If it is Tom Dunne, it's the longest statement I've heard him make without some reference to the amusing antics of his children.

I read that as the Who and was confused as to why your nephews would be explaining the Who to you , actually started going through the lyrics in my head:o

Along with people's bemusement that I don't like Family Guy (I strangled a girl when she said: "But it's sooooooo your humour!!" ) I also can't stand egg, that smelly shìt is like dead feet!

Apparently, it's not OK to not like something.............especially if you don't like being hounded by pedastal-chaffing know-it-alls condemning you for thinking otherwise. You know they've dropped your IQ score in their heads immediately, pricks!

    Fùck off and die.

P.S. Tea is rotten without sugar but coffee tastes excellent without it! Go figure! :pac:

Too right although only seen 1 of them.

Another thing, why can't I like something without getting questioned? I don't care if its not cool or hip to like it, I like it. Like Roll Bounce, what an awesome film. The attempted abuse I get over that film is mad.

I doubt many of you's have seen it :p

Bill Hicks, can't stand him yet everyone loves him.

Considered to be the best comedian of all time.

Well to me, he comes across like an obnoxious prick anytime that I have seen him preform.

Screams controversial opinions (that aren't really all that controversial in the first fucking place) with a fake look of disdain on his face.

JFK wasn't shot by Lee Harvey? God you're so brave Bill, only for you we were buying that echo theory.

Pretend the world's dumb and only YOU (Bill Hicks) get that we live in consumer driven world full of hypocrites.

You took drugs and enjoyed it you say? You're my hero.

You love smoking and you don't care what people think? Genius

He was just a smartarse cunt who was just as materialistic as everyone fucking else at the end of the day.

The tickets for his gigs were extortionate amount of money at his peak, if he hated corporate America so much then why not reduce his fee so everyone can get in half price?

    Disingenuous hypocritical lying twat.
