- Once I finish the Leaving Cert on the 23rd I'll have three of my best friends' 18ths to look forward to!:) Gonna be crazy...
-Then off to Edinburgh I go with my siblings to visit my brother. Then we're gonna move on up to the Highlands to go hiking and take in the incredible scenery.
- I have to go to atleast one day of Oxegen! If I went the day Florence and the Machine were playing I'd be delighted. :)
- I'm also gonna go to Germany for a few days with my friends!
- Go on road trips in general in my best friend's new car.
- Debs :D
- Results night...hopefully it will be good news all round.

I really need to add more to the list :)

Basically I've got no real summer plans... except my never ending quest to 'better myself'. :D

Anyone got any recommendations for summer classes or courses in Dublin for an eighteen year old?

I doubt you will find a summer course since you are in sixth year and will be finished the LC.

What about a first aid course or something like that? I'm going to look into doing one myself, though I'm not in Dublin...

Didn't really think so myself... I was more looking in the line of some sort of evening class in a sport or art or something. I'm open to ideas. :D Though by the time the Leaving Cert's actually over, I'll probably just want to lie around feeling sorry for myself and over coming the effects of extreme cramming by catching up on DVD's. :P

Check out a book called 'Emergency' by Neil Strauss, i hope to do a lot of his activitys this summer minus the guns and obtaininga secondary citizenship!

Working. Not sure how much I'll be needed. Don't particularly want to work full time. If I only had to do 3 days a week that'd be perfect. I also want to become a better programmer so I'll spend a bit of time on that.

Other than that, getting wasted.

• Registered Users Posts: 7,466 ✭✭✭highlydebased

Would like to work but looks like I wont end up finding anything.

Chill for certain after the leaving. I've no money to be doing off to Iyanapa or any of these places impregnating young ones on these "leaving cert holidays". Might get as far as Dublin if I'm lucky!

So far, unless job prospects change to let me stay in Cork, I'm going to be working a 39 hour week running a Kids Club in Waterford, and trying to figure out how to work a relationship with a guy working in Galway...

Damn college ending... :(

Never posted in this before, but then I didn't really know what I was doing back then...
Ehhh...summer...

-My main plan is just to get out and do stuff, not like last summer...make sure I always have something near to look forward to...go into town and Galway lots...hang around with friends at our houses, try and keep talking to friends from school that live far away, unlike last summer..
-Start running again. I used to be fairly decent but then I stopped and have been too lazy to start at it again. So I'm going to for a run most days and when I go back to school, maybe do athletics.
-Have my birthday....
-Get healthier - drink more water and shizz...
-Babysitting
-Read
-Watch movies, TV shows...
-And whatever else happens on the way...

My goal for the summer is to fight boredom and not let it win...everyday, I'm going to do something, even if it is just going for a run or something.
Hopefully it will be a good one:)

Going to England for a day after the exams.

Learn some music theory and continue where I left off with the piano.

Make some beats and learn how to sample properly.

Go to the gym more regularly.

Hopefully go to Electric Picnic if I can.

Just have a really fun time, try to do a lot of things even if I feel like staying in because usually it turns out to be good.

Is there some kind of pill I can take to fall asleep for the summer and wake up in September to start college again? This summer is going to be boring. I've had enough of this being at home with my parents craic... nearly six months of family time. I need to leave and go somewhere new.
