Of course it also works both ways, it's not just men who take a somewhat "cold" view on a person's figure.

If a person finds a lot of excess weight unattractive, they can't help it - that's not shallow.

"Large Women/BBW" - Just say fat. Most men don't seem to be attracted to fat women and vise versa. There will be exceptions: people who only like fat people and people who just don't care.

Most societies around the word promote slim to be beautiful. You can ask is that a result of our tastes or are our tastes a result of society?

Thank you! bout time someone said it, hate this idea that everyone should find everyone attractive for the "person inside", nobody bases a first impression on the person inside, thats the person you get to know over time. Of course people rate you by your looks and attractiveness to them at first, it works both ways, someone could be stunningly good looking but have the personailty of a brick, whereas someone could be not what you'd find initially appealing and be one of the funniest, nicest people you'd ever meet. We go for whats attractive to us as our own personal taste, not as a dont knock it till you've tried it test.
