Just saw this try on RugbyDump - I think I'll be hard pressed to find anything matching the flatness of the pass and speed of take in the rest of the year.

In my ideal world, that would be Chris Ashton.

    Ouch.

Some run though, like I said earlier, I really hope he makes it and proves all the naysayers wrong. The opposition clapping him is a bit much! None of them could lay a finger on him.

Yeah it was cheap from the opposition, especially after he burned them so easily.

Good to see him mucky too as it means he was getting involved.

two hands on the ball Carlin !!!!!

    :)

its almost as if he was bouncing the ball at the end.

    Horrible from the opposition though

I remember a while ago our J4s were playing and the opposition managed to break through the line and get in for a lovely try under the posts... but he did the same kinda thing as Isles and tried to hard to get under the posts, resulting in one of our players just pushing him over the dead ball line! He had ages to put it down. It could've been easy for our team to jeer and laugh at him, but in fairness the lads kept it together - I'd say he was embarrassed enough.

Aaaahahah can't believe I've never seen this.

I hope this man goes into commentary after he finishes up.

In another life, Nick Cummins was a decent sailor. And a Kiwi to boot.

    (rip Peter Blake)

I imagine he's gas on the training pitch. He's also a pretty handy rugby player, so it's not all just talk.

Nick Cummins is very close to getting on my Ligind List.

The try two minutes in. Christ.

The big question will be whether he can find and exploit those gaps when he doesn't have acres of space to do so.

Quickest I've ever seen anyone move in a rugby match.

Holy crap, that last try. Unbelievable. He's essentially giving everyone a 40m head start and he still skins them all. That's crazy

I really want to see him in a Rabo game, there is no doubt that with an open field in front of him he won't be stopped. The question is can he make space for himself in the 15 a side game.

  • Administrators Posts: 53,553 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

All he'd need is space to go round someone on the outside and he'd never be caught.

    Some engine in him

In fairness, it won't always be up to him to make that space. Any space around the corners of a ruck or offloads in the tackle and he's gone.

If that's a correct call, then we drew with the All Blacks.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,997 ✭✭✭Grimebox

It probably isn't the correct call. Baabaa's game and that

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,308 Mod ✭✭✭✭.ak

It was in the sense the ref interpreted it as him starting his run up.
