O'Grady was offered the job the weekend before last, had agreed to take it, and pulled the plug the next day. My understanding was that it was down to issues with backroom team.

Maybe, O'Grady told the board he would only take it if Cunningham was brought on board? Cunningham resigns from Cork, all of a sudden O'Grady is back on board as he got his man? I still don't see why Cunningham would leave his current role with Cork for anything other than a managerial role!

Dare I say it the almighty dollar or the not so mighty euro?

It would be a big bonus if he was involved.

John Brudair wants to find 20 new players in addition to 20 regulars from Maurice Horan's squad. Might be a bit over-optimistic, if he wants players who are on a level with those.... does that mean that our senior players aren't retiring?

Have you got an opinion or is this just yet more of your "subtle" trolling you've been doing on this thread for a few years now?

A few facts for the troll from Waterford.

1 Only Kilkenny Cork and Tipp have won more all irelands than Limerick.

2 At least Limericks most recent all ireland in 1973 was covered on colour tv unlike Waterfords in 1959!

3 Mick Mackey the second greatest hurler of all time played for Limerick.

4 Waterford are historically and still remain munsters least successful hurling county.

Apologies for the poor footage but here is the day when Limerick got 5 and Dan The Man got none.:D

Not sure was O Grady the right call. But there wasn't many there for it.

So strange. Cunningham allows his name be ratified by CCB, then resigns the week of Limerick job announcement but nothing tonight. Perhaps he may still be joining OGrady but wants to leave some time before its public?

Wasn't TJ Ryan being groomed for the job 2 or 3 years ago? After DOG

It begs the question as to why O Grady left in the first place

Was it not rumoured at the time that finance had something to do with it?

Presume Get C is in line as coach? Or even Cusack? If the County Board has a choice, the decision is clear cut. One has an outstanding cv, the other has a much inferior one.

O'Grady "top notch" ? There's Jo hiding place this time. No muddy waters in relation to disharmony in the camp. The Munster championship is already achieved and 1A hurling is on the cards. Nothing short of an All Ireland appearance will be seen as failure.

Its quiet cause nobody seems to know what to make of it, (including myself)
From reading your in depth knowledge of Ger C over the last few weeks I was hoping that he would be the man, even with Cusack on board, and TJ as selector.
Maybe there will be another twist to this yet with either of the two joining the set-up, preferably Ger C.

Big pressure on whoever is in charge next year. Huge expectation from the fans after 2 championship victories this year.

Yeah cunnigham would add a freshness to it and ticked every box .

Dnt doubt o grady-just the joint manager ,is he going to give tj a lot of responibity and take a backseat,if so that transiston period is no good to limerick.

Must win in the next two years if ye are going to win.

Fact they were their, and momentum gone in two year since,i wonder how players take to this.

    Interesting times ahead.

Depressingly not far off the mark Rightwing , did you see the draw for the Waterford Crystal - We have to play a preliminary Round for the right to play Kerry in the first round propper, we have been well and truely found out I'm afraid.

Oh I don't know about that, I can hardly remember Munster as even and as competitive in a long time.
