Private Boards Tourney - how would it work?

lads, could I ask that those of you who've posted in the player sign-up thread and don't need to be there anymore (trilla, srfc and Jev) to please remove your posts from the thread (edit/delete). That thread should just contain one post from each user, and just include their gt. Keeps things nice and simple

also, I've started a "floating player" thread - register there if you're not available every week. This thread will be a 'subs' list - if a team are down one player, they can grab someone from that thread.

You must pick the person at the top of the list.

I don't follow this. Do you mean the guy who gets his name in first here, is always the first pick if he's online? Fair enough, but just want to be sure that's what you meant.

actually, you're right - never really thought that through. I was thinking that the first person to be picked would take their name off the list, but it probably wouldn't work like that - will have a think.

I was just in the middle of a game when I got the invite - but thanks for it, and deffo send one again if you see me on - if I'm free, will join up, and if I don't, it's nothing personal (same applies if I send you one!)

No worries. If you are in a similar situation in future, but fancy joining up after your game cause you're not in a party, drop me a voicemail. I'll send an invite when there is a free slot in the lobby. Or just feel free to join session.

I'm not on a team with trilla and srfc so I think you're confusing me with another entrant? Moved myself to the 'floating players' thread anyways due to missing the first bit!

ok - I suggest we go for a start date of April 1st. Here's what I reckon we should do:

Format will be 3v3, TDM, 3 maps per match.
Each team will play home and away. Home team picks two maps, away team picks one.

To register your team post in the teams thread in the social group (I'll edit this post later with the link)
To register just yourself, post in the players thread. On the 31st of March, we'll form teams out of the players thread, and draw up a schedule.

Each team will play every other team home and away, and you'll get a week to play each game. teams can organise the time amongst themselves, but

You should be able to commit to at least 1 hour anytime between 7 and 11, at least two nights a week.

If you can only play weekends after 11 or all midnight to six am mon to fri - don't join.
if your ma or your missus watches the only telly in the house all evening - don't join.

It'll be a nightmare trying to organize six people like that.

that means, if one team offer to play the game any day between 7 and 11, and the other team only want to play outside those hours, the other team forfeits the game. Miss two games (for whatever reason) and your team is out.

Ok, if someone could create that group and post the link here, we'll get the ball rolling. Make sure the group is public (or if not, that you don't mind giving people access manually)

3V3. Core I'd imagine. Yes you can still enter, either with 2 of your mates and form a team, or as a freelance player and be assigned a team before it starts.

My advice would be to get 2 friends, the more teams the better, and it'll be more fun with mates (they don't have to be on boards.)

As far as i know there will be maybe one /two matches a week, at a time when it suits everyone . No one could be expected to be available everynight.

While that is true, there is still only 4 teams. So the extra time gives us a chance to get more teams entered. A 4 team league will be a bit disappointing.
