another thing about commando ive noticed is .........you can actually ice-skate through claymores . Like say im at the top of some stairs theres a claymore on the stairs , a commando can actually ice-skate through the claymore and knife me  but if he didnt hit the melee he would have set the claymore off and died .

I just cannot understand why they won't fix this ?? They never will now either

When they hit the knife and under consideration you were in their sights no matter what is in the way be it a drop, claymore or even a wall the game will fudge it so they get an insta kill. I have been in games where this happened and they commando coward actually zapped around the wall! So very broken.

Because the range of it is so insane for noobs a lot can get in the way but yet the game fudges it for them. What a bad joke. Seems more and more kids are catching on to it and taking advantage.

Sabotage. Useless ***** who can't/won't realise it's not TDM and spend their time racking up kills without ever even bothering to carry the bomb or escort the carrier.
Maybe if there were only points for killing the bomb carrier/defending him (something similar to how the riot shiled works) and no killstreaks, it might work out a little more like it was intended? There's still the issue of people just waiting by the homebase for the carrier but if your team-mates were on the same wavelength as you it's not an issue.

You think that's bad? Was playing a Sabotage game on Highrise. I racked up 60+ plus kills but I was getting bored and really just wanted us to win the match, especially since you get a **** match bonus if it goes into overtime. Some gob****e took the bomb and got up on top of the building with the skylight to the sniper spot with the bomb and wouldn't get down for 10 minutes. Somebody finally picked him off but some other idiot got up there, took it and did the exact same thing.

    Was not amused!

its very rare you get a good team objective based game, some people get it, domination seems to be the only one where people go after the points, but they still just run around killing people once they capture a marker. Thats not what that mode is about, its about holding positions, so capture your marker, lay a claymore at it, and hang around in the area to get anyone trying to capture it, I was playing a game the other night where all of my team were just killing people, nobody was trying to defend or capture, it was pointless so I just quit.

Love that you posted in the Lollypops and Handbags thread at the same time. :D

I completely agree about objective based games. I rarely play them when I'm on my own as there is so little point.

But they are so much fun if you get 4-6 guys in a party with you. Normally you can both destroy them with regard to kills/spawn traps etc, and build up a lovely run of wins etc.

2 or 3 people who know what they are doing and you'll get by ;)
Basically some people are too caught up in what their k/d is rather than playing the damn game.

    Domination ftw :)

Theres times when I both love and hate MW2 in equal measure:D for all my/other peoples complaining though when you get a great game its hugely enjoyable to play.

oh wait, this is the handbags thread, um....er....oh , yeah, ****ing campers!

    phew :D

every objective based game is like that. in domination no one captures or defends flags anymore because k/d is all anyone seems to care about.

I loved that game of Domination we played on Terminal the other night. For a change there wasn't a huge amount of NoobToobs around and it was great fun.

I helped take the B flag off the start, and then based myself in the building underneath the propane tank. I could cover B if needed and cleared that once or twice, and take them out from the plane/cockpit also. I could get out to C when you called for help and cleared up there once. And I could shoot from my building down at the A spawn or as they came out of the bookshop. I think I got 2 pavelows in the game and we totally slaughtered them. When you play like that with people holding down zones it is a great game. :)

Plus we had the sense to leave them with 1 flag the whole time, which most people don't seem to realise is the key to Domination.

(sorry, just realised this is the handbags thread)

Commando has now become a plague.

And ts a full blown epidemic, played for an hour and every single knife kill was commando assisted, seen a guy knife me through my claymore 3 times and even a throwing knife did nothing another guy threw, actually saw that in the killcam and just heard an american teen with a beevis style laugh.... this is blood boilingly bad.

I simply cannot see how this was green lit as a perk, what a lack of foresight.

The problem was in your quote , what do you expect playing with someone 3,000 miles away

You see my network runs through a direct trans Atlantic fiber line with ping times less than 45ms terminated to Chicago so my games with US based IP's are better than anywhere elses relative to geographical location. Geographical distance isnt a factor when you know your network layout and routing. So the issue isnt the opposing IP ... its the perk itself.

That's what you get for hiding behind a Claymore in a corner waiting for people to pass. So bascially it's an "Anti-Camping" perk? Cool.

    ;)

I was playing S&D last night and I usually dick around with the Riot Shield on it. I was the last one against another guy on the other team on Terminal. I always equip Commando with the Riot Shield to give me an extended lunge, only this time it killed me!

Came into a 1 on 1 against this guy with my Riot Shield, was running after him for a while landing a blow in the process. Went in for that final blow, lunged at him and zoomed over his Claymore. When I came to rest it detonated; me along with it. :p

Can you please explain to me as to where you have come to the conclusion I was camping? Seeing as the only information you have to base this on is that I was on the other side of a claymore? Do you assume anyone on the correct side of a claymore is a camper?

As a matter of fact I was in skidrow, had just spawned into the 2nd level apartemnt over looking the courtyard, planted a claymore in the east entrence and went to patroll the west alleyways, after apprx 3 mins I returned to the apartment as there was a sniper on my team there with no silencer so naturally assuming that west alleyway is clear as I was just there the east entrence may not be.... returning to the entrence after being away form this spot for over 3 mins now I was correct and someone was coming for the sniper but as I said he was using commando and zipped right through a claymore I layed direct after I spawned?

So do please enlighten me as to how I was camping in your opinion seeing as you knew none of this at the time of your comment and only that I had said i was behind a claymore at the time?

No real need for me to reply, as you've already grasped what's going on. :)

Maybe I should have added some more smilies to make sure people understood that I was joking.

I got accused of camping by 3 different people on a TDM game on Skidrow last week before i prestiged, was using my riot shield class which I have c4 and scavenger equipped, since most people see a riot shield and think "aha, easy knife kill!" a great strategy is to get into a room where theres a corner you can back into, throw a c4 on the ground in front of you, and when someone sees you and inevitably rushes towards you in an attempt to stab you from the side, just hit Square twice (on PS3) to detonate the c4 as they walk over it,and as you have scavenger you can keep replinishing your c4 supply with every prson you kill, you can get a bunch of easy kills :D call it camping if you want, I call it teaching people a lesson in minding their surroundings and not being to quick to go for an easy kill :D cue a few guys sending me abusive messages calling me a "campy noob" to which i replied they should have watched where they were going, riled em right up :D

I don't really see a problem with campers anyway. Sometimes I have to do it to catch up if I've gone 4 or 5 deaths in a row, or if I'm trying to get a kill streak together and I'm one away or something.

Out smarting the serial camper is a very enjoyable sub plot in my opinion.

Its very hard to define camping anyway.
Is holding down two areas in close proximity camping ?

    I dont think so.
    Camper hunting ftw !!!

Nope, sitting behind something with a heartbeat sensor waiting for someone to pass is, if you're moving between an area it cant be camping, even if it is one big building, a room however, is.

ohh right I see ...........so if a lad is we'll say , on underpass for instence (hiding in the long grass in his guillie suit) he has his hb sensor he says some poor bastard running by so he kills him . Now he knows the lad he just killed will see where he was on killcam . So obviously hes gonna say to himself I better move a few feet into another part of the long grass . Then low and behold the lad he killed comes back looking for him in his old camping spot . So he kills him again from his new spot where he impossible to see because he in his guillie suit and he has cold-blooded pro on

Thats not camping for kills ??

Pretty much, but if you're stupid enough to go charging right back to where someone just shot you then you deserve to get shot again :D If i get killed by a camper I go back within safe distance, lob a stun grenade or two in, and if a hit marker appears then move in, dont just go running in there, failing that, rocket :D I mean moving around holding a building or something, not just moving a few feet from one crouching spot to another, ah look people could debate what is and isnt camping till the ends of time, campers dont bother me so much, its noobtubers and boosters who I hunt down with a vengeance

Tell me about it, I was playing TDM on Afghan earlier, my team was on the hill, the other was hiding in the poppy field area, I respawned over by the humvees and all you could see where grenades sailing back and forth between the two areas, got me a nice triple kill with an ATA rocket though :)

The amount of times I have poorly spawned tonight is ridiculous. I must have died within 3 seconds of spawning at least 10 times.

Yep it seems the spawn system has gone complete ape sh1t tonight, I haven't a clue why though!

In one game I was really making an advantage out of it but the roles were reversed in the next one! :pac:

People can debate what camping is and isnt all they want, I'm still of the view that sitting in one place hoping someone runs past=camping. Holding down a building or area and defending it in other ways aside from plonking yourself down in a spot=not camping. Theres no set rules that you must be defending an area such x such wide and long for it to be considered defense rather than camping.
Say you were playing on Afghan, and a team or guy was sticking to the hill at the back of the map, theres three ways to get to it, so defending an area like that I wouldnt consider camping. If someone just stood in the small bunker in the middle of the map and shot people as they ran past, that I would consider camping, simples.
