    When you tried all of that:

    1. Did going to a website in your browser work?

    2. Did cabbage fail to send a message with both the via server and direction connection sending methods and with both connection method 1 and 2?

    3. You said before that it works over wifi and the problem is only over mobile data? Is that still the case?

    And once you try scheduling a message can you tell me what response you get? Thanks

    Alright, here's what works. If I go into Skyfire or whatever, it stops delivering the message.

    It seems that someone internet access is shutting itself off even when Data is turned on, and Skyfire, but not Cabbage, seems to be able to open a connection again.

    It could be some power saving feature, if it is then it'd actually be quite useful, but I would like Cabbage to be able to open the connection itself.

    I'm not really following you. Are you saying one of the following:

    1. If you open skyfire while cabbage is delivering a message cabbage stops delivering and then doesn't work from then on

    2. The internet connection stops working randomly and cabbage stops working but after you open skyfire cabbage starts working again

    Or something else.....?

    btw, I can't remember if I told you to do this already but if not, open cabbage and press menu->settings->Server side script URL and change it to:
    http://powermyphone.com/cabbage/send.php

    Then set the sending method as via server and try it out for a while

    I think #2 is the closest. Turning on Skyfire seems to reactive the internet connection and stops the IO Exception occuring.

    That sounds to me like it might be a fault with your phone tbh, the internet shouldn't randomly stop working. Have you changed the server to powermyphone now?

    Getting all kinds of errors now. "Invalid response received (tried to parse a page and couldn't find expected text)"

    This is for both the new page and the default one.

    I may have to try a new ROM, it's like a minefield though, had such bad luck.

    A small thing, but it bugs me. Cabbage Ultimate now always seems to pick up the correct contact name, but not their correct picture in conversation view.

    Using HTC Desire S.

    Anyway to upload contacts from phone to meteor webtext phonebook?

    The add in one by one manual process would take ages.

    Vodafone had a CSV import option ... but meteor nowt as far as i can see ...

    Could Cabbage do this ?

    Does it not pick a picture at all or does it pick the wrong picture?

    If it doesn't show a picture at all, how did the pictures get assigned to these contacts? did they come frmo facebook or similar or did you add them manually?

    That could be that the O2 website is having another off day. The IO exception you were getting before meant that the app was failing to connect to the website at all but the error you've just mentioned means that it managed to connect but didn't get the responses it was expecting. That can happen if webtext is offline or the website generally isn't working properly

    Has it stopped working entirely or is it intermittent?

    Hi, no cabbage can't currently export your phone's contacts to the webtext phone book.

    Sure why would you be using the website at all anymore, just use desktop cabbage :P

    Got ultimate last night. Class app. Only issue is that pictures aren't appearing for contacts?

    I have a SE Xperia x8 with a custom rom based on CM7. Any ideas?

    Firstly I love this app, used it on my old Nokia before moving to all things Android. Cheers for all the hard work Sam.
    However, in the last couple of days I’ve noticed that my three webtexts are being appended with "sent using webtext.three.ie". I know that in the past Cabbage would use spaces and a full stop to get round this issue but it seems to have stopped doing this on the default “via server” sending method. On closer inspection I notice that if I send via “direct connection” it will use the full stop method.
    I presume it’s just a bit of code that’s gone missing hardly the end of the world not to have this option via the server but it would be great to get this back. I can’t have all my friends realising how cheap I am!!

    Oops, I took that bit out by accident. It's back now

    Not sure if this is any use to you Sam but Three have removed their webtext footer as of today.. save you having to include the code in future updates

    Another problem, when i delete a conversation in cabbage ultimate it's still there in the default messaging app.

    Hi, I have no plans to develop an app for WebOS but you could use either the basic or advanced web based versions:

    Basic: http://cabbagetexter.com/cabbagewebbased.php

    Advanced: http://cabbagetexter.com/nweb

    That doesn't happen to me and no one has reported that problem before. Are you sure you have the numbers stored as mobile numbers? Could you check one of the contacts that are giving the wrong number to be sure?

    And if the number is registered as a mobile number, could you try switching it to home (and maybe a few other types) and try again?

    This is happening when you're selecting contacts on the screen with the check box next to each contact and not with the drop down on the message screen right? Or is it happening there too?

    A note for people using the www.cabbagetexter.com server to send messages from their own apps etc:

    My web hosting has limited the length of parameters allowed in HTTP GET requests to 512 for security reasons so if someone sends a message with more than 512 characters the message parameter comes throught to the script blank and the message fails.

    I've updated the script to work around the problem though. If someone tries to send a message with more than 512 characters the message can be split up into 512 character chunks and sent as separate parameters. So the first 512 characters should be sent with the parameter m= as normal, then the next 512 should be sent as m1=. The next 512 should be m2= etc.

    This code is what I use to do it:
    String tempMessage=message;
    String splitMessages="m=";
    for(int i=1;tempMessage.length()>0;i++){
    	if(tempMessage.length()>512){
    		splitMessages+=URLencode(tempMessage.substring(0,512)) + "&m" + i + "=";
    		tempMessage=tempMessage.substring(512,tempMessage.length());
    	}else{
    		splitMessages+=URLencode(tempMessage);
    		tempMessage="";
    	}
    }
    urlEncodedMessageParameter=splitMessages;

    This only matters if requests to the server are being sent as GET requests. If you're sending them as HTTP POST messages can be as long as you want

    Yeah it happens with selecting contacts on the screen with the check box next to each contact

    Works with the drop down on the message screen, using it that way now!!

    I just found the problem that was causing that. In the next release if you select a contact has more than one number associated with it you'll get a dialog box when you select it asking you which number you want to use

    This post has been deleted.

    If it said "Message sent. X messages left" then the whole sending procedure went fine and the website just didn't send the message
