I'm having problem doing a DTT scan. Does anybody know what frequency or other setting to set for Truskmore? I tried doing a complete scan but that didn't work either.

Make sure to switch off and back on duo after install dtt, Also ensure set to europe dtt, not eurupe cable or Australia.

yes as givecredit correctly says reboot is essential after installing driver for dvb-t. assumed you had set it up but if not then is like he said you need to go into system/service searching/tuner cofiguration and select tuner c then move region to europe dvb-t and save.

    then try rescanning

    Oooooooh!

I shall be installing this! Though not until I'm prepared to start from scratch with my settings etc.

I'm wondering, will this work with a WinTV Nova TD? Or maybe TD is the same as T? I think the D is for Dual, as it's dualtuner.

Up and running with a Nova-T here - came in use for recording 'An Píopa' doc on TG4. Looks pretty good so far. The change of function of the central button will require a bit of relearning.

Can't get cam up for reading FTV card however. If someone finds an .ipk file for CCcam which works OK, could they post details (or pm)?

    TIA

It seems to be working really well for me.

My epg looks like Gipo3's, but I haven't activated pip yet.

Does anyone know how to get picons working for the dtt channels?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,308 ✭✭✭irishchris

right click and save as the name it comes up with - which will be the correct channel references for the dtt channels. i have the radio ones as well if you want them

    Irishgeo,

Go to this web site and check the map.

Not sure how accurate it is but it seems fine for me.

Any opinion on the best value DTT stick to get? Ideas on good places to look would be nice too (I've browsed eBay, but quite a few UK sellers seem to charge a LOT for delivery to Ireland).

byte, the Nova is a fine piece of kit, got mine off ebay delivered for 30 quid and he threw in a second bigger aerial. You can buy em new for 40-50. They already work with pli and are promised (to a model) in 1.4. Sound investment. Also come with full size aerial slot so no annoying adapter etc

Possible steal - Spain (no customs, only a few hrs left)

byte, did you not bid on this link I gave you a few days ago? I think it went for buttons

No, as a Vix 1.3 user, I had left it until I was sure the new ViX would support it. It was a good price alright...

That said, it's not that much different to a new one from the Amazon link posted by j4vier (thanks).

I think I shall order it over the weekend.

ViX 2.0 have went backwards with permanent timeshift and the latest EPG.

Without me installing OpenPLI and checking myself. What are the advantages of using ViX 2.0 over OpenPLI 2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,308 ✭✭✭irishchris

There does seem top be an issue with the pts at the moment as it is a pli issue and has affected vix which will be looked at. No issue with epg on vix??? What epg issue are you having mate?

To be able to rewind, you need to press 'Pause' then 'Play' and finally 'Rewind'.

This has always been the way in OpenPLI.
