I present to you the 2nd member of the Defying Wrestling Organization
    (D.W.O)

    Eddie Guerrero

    wrld-guerrero01st-1.jpg

He may not have been the biggest wrestler on any roster but no-one could match the passion and charisma Eddie had. Whether he was a heel or he was "lying, cheating and stealing", Eddie was just 1 of those wrestlers who have a quality match with anyone. Taken too soon from us, I still believe Eddie was 1 of the greats and is deserving of a place on any roster. Luckily for me, he's now on mine

For my second pick, I'm going to choose one of the most under-used wrestlers in WWE history. He is a very talented wrestler, and an equally talented talker. He is a wrestler who never really broke into the main event scene in WWE, and perhaps now he can in my promotion.

My second pick is Captain Charisma - Christian!

    JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS

A very talented wrestler who delivered some great promos and had some great feuds through the 80's. I wonder is Randy Orton scared of snakes????

    my pick is Christopher Daniels

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,045 ✭✭✭Vince135792003

My second pick is a person who when he first started many thought he would be no more than a mini in Mexico due to his size and yet tomorrow he's in a world title match against the Undertaker. That pretty much sums up Rey Mysterio my second pick.

He has broken decade long boundaries in wrestling.

This is mainly due to his sheer unique ability in the ring over the last 17 years (which many people forget) to become in 2010 a legit draw in the WWE (and there are very, very few who are like that today).

A list of awards he has received from the Wrestling Observer awards:
    Rookie of the year 1992
    Best Flying Wrestler 1995
    Best Flying Wrestler 1996
    Best Flying Wrestler 1997
    Best Flying Wrestler 2002
    Best Flying Wrestler 2003
    Best Flying Wrestler 2004
    Most outstanding wrestler 1996

    RoadWarriors.jpg
A combination of Hogan like popularity, Warrior like intensity and speed and Steiner like promos the Road Warriors are the biggest draws in tag team wrestling ever and they're much better in the ring then the Heidenreich run would suggest. They were the inovators of the power and facepaint model and double team moves and were not only brilliant faces but effective heels until they got too popular to turn. Massive everywhere they went in America after captivating Georgia and instant Superstars in Japan they were PWI's best tag team ever aswell as Observer hall of famers and former tag team of the year

    Roster:
    Benoit
    Road Warriors

Oooooh yeah! It's time! It's time (no, not Vader time) for my 2009 Wrestler of the Year. Engaging himself in simply breath-taking matches over 2009, and on the shortlist of best in-ring talent today. He uses an incredibly fast shoot-style of stiff kicks and wrestling holds. His work-rate and technical precision demand respect. He innovated the Go 2 Sleep, and is known for his Busaiku Knee Kick.

Holding only a few different titles in his 10 year career, he has made a lasting impression on all who witness his matches. The man, is KENTA.

ahem. The man is KENNNNNNNTAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! (*throws multi-coloured streamers into the ring*)

    * Pro Wrestling Noah
    o Differ Cup (2005)
o GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship (3 times)
o GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship (2 times) – with Naomichi Marufuji (1) and Taiji Ishimori (1)
    o NTV Cup (2007, 2008) – with Taiji Ishimori
    * Tokyo Sports Grand Prix
o Best Bout 2006 vs. Naomichi Marufuji, October 29, 2006

    * Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards
    o Best Wrestling Maneuver (2006, 2007) Go 2 Sleep
o Tag Team of the Year (2003, 2004) with Naomichi Marufuji

So wBw's Current Roster looks like this :
    Kurt Angle
    Motorcity Machine Guns
    KENTA

    i give you....
    Nigel McGuiness
    aka Desmond Wolfe

    2. Mushuharu Misawa
    3. Kenta Kobashi
    4. Nigel McGuinness

Multi-Time Tag Champions, and they could brawl with the best of them.

don't look at them now in TNA and think they're a joke.

back in the 90's they were on the top rung of tag-team wrestling.

this pick will also mean my roster isn't too one-dimensional. there will be something for every taste!

i might do a proper write-up later, but here is pick 3 for Team Slick...
    0411a.jpg
    Team Slick:

    1. 'Dynamite Kid' Tom Billington.
    2. 'British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith.
    3. Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat.
    4. The Nasty Boys - Knobbs and Saggs.

The 3rd member of D.W.O (Defying Wrestling Organization) is ...

    Evan Bourne

    200px-Evan_Bourne_.jpg

Evan qualifies in this as he made his WWE debut in June 2008. He's one of the best aerialist (if that makes sense) around and his Shooting-Star Press is second to none. I think Evan will fit right in here in the D.W.O as his style fits the name.

My next pick is Ted Dibiase Junior, who debuted on WWE TV on May 26, 2008,

This guy is on the brink of becoming a big time player in WWE. This time next year he'll have been snapped up far earlier than this mark my words, he has the pedigree, the look, the charism and carries himself as a star in such a way that ges going all the way to the top of the wrestling world..

Pity I couldn't get Cody as well (debuted in 2007), but given that I have Ted Senior this really was a no brainer for me, someone I had earmarked as a pick before the pre-2008 rule was announced and the next step in the little master plan of a storyline I've been working on.

    88764697lrg-21-ted-debut-talk-jpg.jpg

    Fla's Roster:

    1. Mick Foley
    2. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase
    3. Stan Hansen
    4. Ted Dibiase Jr.

Since ROH on HD Net has become the marker for ROH debuts in this round, this pick should be ok I think. Arguably the best tag team in the world in 2009, featuring arguably the best wrestler in the world in 2009, a guy compared a lot to Dynamite Kid and Chris Benoit in the ring, and his partner, who himself is no slouch. The American Wolves, Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards.

    "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
    Goldberg
    Davey Richards
    Eddie Edwards

Well the rule is: Round 3 picks can only have made their IN RING TELEVISION in their current promotion debut since 01/01/2008

With that in mind, my pick is the biggest heavyweight ppv draw in boxing history.

    My third pick is:

    Iron Mike Tyson
    mike-tyson-sports-illustrated.jpg

Just also, while I am picking him under this rule, I very much see him as the 1986 to 1995 Mike Tyson not the Tyson of 2009. I have big plans for him!

These are valid I think and I checked with Gimmick. Williams made his second debut with TNA in 2008 but his in his first one, he was not officially signed.

    5vzuq1.jpg

I particularly like Magnus, he used to be just a powerhouse but has really come on a lot in the ring. I am a huge fan of stables and it is great seeing someone like Doug Williams getting a shot in TNA. Brutus Magnus was alright as a singles wrestler but never really moved into a proper feud, as a tag team they can stand out and hopefully win the title down the track. I think TNA are doing a good job with these guys and they'll always be over with their irritating Britishness ;) These guys represent the ideal heel tag team and I'm delighted to make them my post 2007 pick

    HVW Roster to date:
    Brock Lesnar
    The Ultimate Warrior
    Doug Williams
    Brutus Magnus
