Headwind for first 8 or so miles and fairly hot. Have to say that patch at 18-22 miles is dangerous. Trucks passing within a couple of feet doing mental speeds. Lots of other small things but nothing major. The phase"Your not in kansas anymore dorothy" springs to mind.

I dont get any pain in my legs anymore after marathons. Just built them up i guess.
I had not intended on doing any miles yesterday but i forgot i told a mate of mine that i would do his long run with him. He kindly put it back a day and rang me 5 mins after i arrived in the door from longford. Very very hot day 2 but it was grand. Ill probably do the conn ultra in april but might be doing paris or rotterdam for a time so i dont know yet.
Sick i didnt taper and run one race down in longford, i could of gone 3.20 on sunday even after the race on friday but i was playing it safe in case fatigue set in but it never did. 3.10 was a possibility but i hadnt trained much at that pace.
Come over to europe with us in april next year mate and i can do 3.10 and you can do 2.55:D

You're in very solid ultra shape right now, if you wanted to have a pop before next April. How many marathons is that now?

You could try the Art O'Neill. but it's got real hills. Not namby-pamby baby hills like the Bog-trotters.
Oh, and it's in the dark. Over the mountains. :D

They dont seem to take much out of you alright. Europe sounds interesting, might be on for that alright. Dont think I can wait around for Dublin '11 to go again. Going to have to get my shorter times down first.

Wouldnt even think about the 3.20 etc. This year you have racked up the marathons. Why not target a marathon race early next year, train just for that and see what you can do - id bet you can go faster than 3'10: you have fantastic recoverability and somehow still have good speed when you feel like it. Would be very interested to see what you can do with fresh legs and some speed training etc.

    well done again anyway!

Yeah was talking to my mate earlier and it looks like we will probably be doing either rotterdam or paris so you are more than welcome. Ill be deffo going for a time over there. Ill keep up about 40 miles untill dublin, going to be doing all my mates 20s with him at about 8.45 a mile and then i have Luton in December with my mate who is looking to get under 3.40 so that will be handy.
The faster stuff im about 19.30 for 5k, 32.30 for 5 miles, 41.30 for 10k ect....
Have not races 10 or a half properly this year so my pbs of 1h12m and 1h34 mins are due to be smashed.

    I did Seville last year.
Seville is a fabulous marathon but a little difficult to get to in Winter when direct flights don't run.
