Where was the first one taken? I know your location is Cork, but it really reminds me of Gallows Hill above Cratloe, County Clare.

Lighting is fantastic on that Jackobyte.

Thanks Bottleopener. The reason that there is so much detail in the lowlights is that it was taken with a HDR-like setting on the camera, capturing 3 images in quick succession before merging them. The downside of this is that, although more detail is captured, the original image appears unrealistic, and more PP is required.

I used post a bit more in the Random Photos threads, say the first year of my photography but I wasn't happy enough with any of my later pictures to bother.

    It is, actually. :pac:

    Cheers.

Has anyone here ever developed their own film ?

If so, you can develop colour film in a single developing tank, it's just the chemicals that are different to B&W developing, right ?

I would ask in the photography forum, but I don't like making threads and don't want to drag up an old one :P

Started a photography course last night. First night was a bit below my level, but I'm guessing that was just an intro night, to get a feel for individuals levels.

I also have to photograph a bird as an assignment for next week. :/

I don't think I've ever been so intrigued as to what that's a photo of.

It looks to be something above you, like a parasol...?
