So the pipe for our filtered water burst on Christmas eve, and this was the result, a fantastic wall of ice:

    Link 1

Some of the shapes were class. Anyone see two birds here?

    Link 2

This is what formed on the ground. There were little spheres on the sheet of solid ice all the way for about 3 metres away from filter thing. They looked kinda like little mushrooms.

    Link 3

The pictures don't really do the thing justice at all, it was absolutely nothing like anything I'd seen before.

Edit: Those pictures were a whole lot bigger than I thought. Sorry! I just put them in links instead :o

Very typical western landscape in the first photo there... Fir tree plantations everywhere. My parents absolutely hate them but I cant imagine the place without them and kind of like them.

Yeah, there's a huge plantation just across the road, there's actually a "fairy fort"(ring fort) in the middle, they wouldn't plant any trees on it because of the whole curse thing about them, it's still there about a mile in and it's really eerie.
You actually get paid if you let them plant some on your land.

My neighbour did it a few years ago and they cut a path through it when it was still young, was so awesome to walk through.

A couple of photos my dad took that I thought were pretty cool:

^ Mist and massive icicles = evil looking house. And that random brown splodge, well that's malevolence epitomized.

I haven't been compelled to pick up my camera recently at all but during work experience I tried my hand at a bit. Heavy-handedly edited but it probably reflects my recent mood a bit.

2nd and 3rd look like HDR. Meaning, the sky was unlikely to look like that.

They're all HDR, albeit quite tastefully done and not very overcooked like usual
