This had to come though...it was easier to earn social welfare than get a low-paying job.
    At up to 15%?

    Most definitely more strikes.

I reckon the guards will do it. Anarchy for everyone! Merry Christmas...

The army will come in...we'll probably have martial law for the day. TBH, I doubt they'll do it, I'd say it's just a publicity stunt. If the union did it, the book would be thrown at them.

Makes me sick sometimes that people can complain about how much they are losing out when there are so many unemployed people who have now to live on 150 a week.

Spare a thought for these people next time you plan on going on strike. GRRRRRRR

No I think it's remaining the same, except for people who refuse work offers.

my understanding was E150 for everyone; reckon it'll be E120 for me p/w as I only have enough stamps from previous years.

They were pretty pissed off pre budget as it was. Can't imagine how annoyed they are to lose 5-15% of their wages, just based on the fact they work in the public sector.

It wasn't very clear but I don't think he mentioned any change in the SW for people over 24, except for if they turn down work.

    There's worse to come.

Rent allowance will be cut and will see people on the street.

    This guy hasn't a clue.

Even if they gave people the money in food vouchers and did deals with Irish food growers .. this would keep the money in the country and make sure people surrived.

Now people will just live in f**king Lidl and Tescos
