Been a tough week this week, so when driving in to the office this morning at just after 6am would have loved to have Christmas FM there to cheer me up, looking forward to it kicking off this year now, I love the listen on the drive to & from work, its the longest spells I tend to get to listen to it once it goes live.

I checked the presenters and all those who have not disguised their names (!) have presented on Christmas FM. The line up includes Garvan Rigby, one of the Christmas FM principals. Other presenters are: Celine Weldon, Alan Young, John Hickson, Jessica Spencer, Craig McCormish, Adrienne O'Hora, Lucianne Hughes, Emily Brew and Ryan O'Neill.

I think this is vaguely in line with last year. It's been pretty similar now with the last 2/3 years, but not many low hanging fruit left. Mayo, South Tipp, West Cork, Monaghan and Laois/Offaly/Westmeath seem to be the last major population centre areas with poor coverage.

Signal is never really great for us in the car in Waterford city. Could be the car could be the signal but we have beat FM, newstalk and opentempo all close to it on the dial.

ChristmasFM playlist was in full force today. Some crackers in it tho. But I did hear grown up Christmas list 4 times today and I switched off every time, can’t stand that song.

I heard "This is Christmas" Goo Goo Dolls yesterday and it reminded me that if it wasn't for ChristmasFM I would have not known the song,

ChristmasFM also introduced me to Hey Mister Christmas by Showaddywaddy which is an all time classic!

Agree on that grown up christmas list one, as much as a like Natalie Cole's voice that song was borderline bannable for me having heard it so much the last couple of years.

Apart from Christmas shoes the only other one that really grinds my gears is that Dolly Parton one that got played to deaths the year before last.. If I never hear that agin it'll be too soon!

Yep still no wham hits and I’m actively hoping to hear it, it’s a banger.

so far I haven’t heard Slade, Wizzard, the pogues or shaking Stevens as well as wham. I did catch 30 seconds of Mariah tho.

WFH today so have Christmas FM on in the background, haven't heard a DJ yet but currently listening to Christmas Shoes… still awful. Hoping I don't hear it too often this year, I really do not like it.
