I'm upgrading to Eircom, thanks to one of their travelling salesmen, in the next month. They're promising wireless via a router, which will be able to connect two laptops and a PS3 without any interference.

He was saying something about 3mb to start off, and then it will go up to 8mb, and their Next Gen broadband is coming to town soon.

I get an F every time and at least 56% packet loss. Which makes sense I guess because my internet connection is absolutely horrible. Can barely make it through a youtube video most days...

We live in the east side of Galway city.

Our package says "5mb", well..... it's never been above 4 and it averages between 3 and 4mb... Smart telecom doesn't feel so smart after all....

so should i just leave the firewall off on my router from now on, or does it really matter?
