Not what i was hoping for but if i do magnet.ie speed test i get roughly 10mb with 27ms ping so quite happy with that. Also the fact that im on a wireless connection might change things a bit:cool:

You might like to try and go to 192.168.1.1 and go to FIREWALL click options and disable IP FLOOD DETECTION to get a much better result from pingtest.net

Co.Waterford, in the country a good 4km from the exchange, 7.6 service, acceptable anyway.

I was wondering, anyone got Magnets Bolt Network outside Dublin? I'd like to see whats kind of service and ping you are getting.

(Btw on a different speed test my QoS was rated at 99%! thats mad)

Not satisfying to me as need 750K for my VOIP software and VPN. Called support, they see nothing wrong with the line, it's ADSL1 and they can guarantee 400K only and all above is fluctuations

    Carpenterstown, Dublin 15.
I am on a 3MB with Eircom, having issues for well over a year now. Eventually, an engineer from Eircom called yesterday and was the most rude, unpleasent guy I have ever spoke to from Eircom.

After he left this is what I am getting aaaaggghhh!!!!

    791535184.png

    15350824.png

What do I have to do to get Eircom to address this issue....They are impossible to deal with

theres a whole thread here about VF having severe problems with there service to be honest i suggest you leave them as soon as you can by the looks of it things are going to get worse they say they are upgrading but nothing has changed....

We've a largely uncongested Eircom fixed line, 1MB, the results could be better but I'm not too upset.

Nova Networks by the look of it? Not sure tbh but this site is not somewhere you would think that there would be any LAN but there you go....

This one is Irish Broadband via Little Island Mast Co. Cork

Leaving Casey's in a month or so for the 24mb Vodafone with Home phone bundle, although i've been with casey's since their start-up.

They charge too much tbh, leavin them for tv also, save myself at least 150euro a month between the three

PINGTEST website is not really a reliable place to test your ping against various sites.

best thing to test your ping would be to go to

    START
    RUN
    Type in CMD

then type PING www. <<< enter in the website to check your ping, any website you check should give you a packet loss of 0% if your line is good enough, and also your PING shouldn't be any higher than 50ms

I am a BT subscriber who was migrated to Vodafone and I am on the ADSL up to 24Mb/s package.

I am in Woodlands Estate, close to Navan telephone exchange. The highest speeds that I have noted have been 20.03/0.85
