Why can't I minimise the table to the desktop like any other windows window.

This also annoys me, but that bug is more annoyin as you don't have a clue when a person is knocked out unless you check the history.

Please God i hope they're getting rid of the 8 million pop ups when you get moved tables in a tournie.

*You are about to be moved table*

*You are about to join a new table*

    *Your Table is almost ready*

    *Any second now*

    *Wait for it*

    *Welcome to your new table*

Table opens on other side of screen and quickly breaks

*You are about to be moved table*

I tried playing again tonight and just playing 2 tables is so bad even just way harder to follow action.

I'm pretty much done grinding ipoker for the moment bar a few fav mtts. Too many issues with the update to mention tbh.

The retards developing the ipoker software should be taken out and shot.

The ipoker guys probably think we are hard bunch to please, but I have to say I find the software really aesthetically unpleasing, reminds me of the betfair software. Clunky and hard to follow the action.

Did the developers of the software do ANY research? They had an opportunity to catch up with Full Tilt and Pstars and have pretty much blown it.

If you have over 4 tables open with the new software, then it becomes very hard to see the cards clearly and after a while i feel it puts a bad strain on your eyes

  • Registered Users Posts: 203 ✭✭bazwin

Yes I have to agree with you there, Clunky and hard to follow the action especially when someone is betting on a 9 table....There's a few other small issues like the heads up games which I play alot. It has been switched the opposite way around meaning the chips/ blind structures etc overlap the other persons bet. Lastly I prefer to have the chat bar at the right handside of the table like the old way......you don't seem to have the option now...........ok I better stop givin out.........:)

Not playing on ipoker much and not planning to, but hopefully constructive thoughts (some may be just Boyle ie colour scheme and others more general).

    1. Where's the button? I want it big and red (or yellow, or something)

2a. Get the avatars off the table a bit and the still in the hand players cards properly on the table, not in the avatars armpit.

2b. Small blue cardbackgrounds only just on/kinda near blue table = fail. See 2a.

2c. There is no c apart from an overall meh at the grey/green avatar border, but it's brutally hard to glance at a table and assess how many players are still in, position etc.

    3. Chipstacks really, really need to be inside the avatar "box". The graphically top 3 players at a full ring table currently have their stacks over the line and in play, right above the potsize

    HTH

This! and the million buttons you need to press when registering for tourneys.

    *Register*

    *Press Register again*

*Press OK as you have now been registered*

*The tourney that you have registered for is now starting, press OK*

*Errr, please press OK again for no apparent reason*

Got a mail from VC who say they'll be making the following updates soon(ish).
    50 Avatars

    New Table design

    Resizable tables

    Choosing your own seats

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,142 ✭✭✭Whyno

Anyone else have problems seeing how many fcukers are in the hand when your playing.
Scrap the avatars imo....or at least give the option

good news for people on the avatars is that in an interim release it will now be possible to switch them all off at once.

Partypoker has now taken over Ipoker as 3rd most popular site for the first time since 2008. Surprised they didn't learn from Ongame about what happens when you roll out horrible unfinished software.

I'm a broken record but whatever...

Bring back the mini-mode and introduce synchronized mtt breaks asap(aswell as sync'ing them with ftp n stars) ftw.

im in no particular rush tbh. I got confirmation this morning that they have a fix for the diplay issues which Ace2007 showed above in this thread, Im waiting for them to recompile the client in preview so I can test again. If I really wanted to I figure I could get live by Thursday, I dont think I will go live on Thursday though.

Its actually amazing how far behind Stars and Full Tilt they are. Whats the problem with actually doing the things people want and doing them well?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,822 ✭✭✭tipp86

Ive looked closely at it again today.

Getting rid of the avatars is grand but the box is still there. If i had my way i would love to have it like the old way. Small box with name and chips.

Its very hard to identify players and there stacks.

I def found it easier when with the old player layout aswell. 3 players facing 3 on mini view.

Did MMMod release a patch for this yet? Be interesting to see how that works out with resizeable tables

Hey guys. I'm Anton from MMM. Created an account on this board to contact someone, but I might aswell post some info here since it concerns mmm aswell.

MMM update is still in the work - I posted a screenshot of work in progress in the MMM forum yesterday (not sure if I can link here to commercial apps - its in the "minimaxmod support" subforum) - it looks promising, but I'm biased ^^

[IMPORTANT] New ipoker client update with resizable tables.

    icon_post_target.gifby Anton » Fri Jan 08, 2010 1:16 am
Today the first couple of ipoker rooms installed the updated software with resizable tables. More rooms will surely follow over the course of next weeks. There's considerably more meat to this update and the current version 0.8.7 of MiniMaxMod will not work with this new client.

In case you're wondering - here's how the new tables look.

    mmm3x.jpg

Tables can be resized by dragging the edge - just like on FT or PS. Here are the biggest (1038x782) and the smallest (494x374) possible sizes next to eachother:

    mmm2t.jpg

The upside is that the tables are still very much modable - just like with the previous versions - the downside is that with the new resizing engine I haven't found a way yet to edit the width and height of the tables to random dimentions. We are stuck with the width/height ratio that was picked by playtech for the tables, at least for now. If I resize the tables to other w/h ratios the engine resizes them proportionally and they appear scewed.

With minimaxmod you will still be able to create or edit the layout to reposition all the elements for optimal HUD space, resize cards and all the usual stuff MMM did.

What you can excpect for the MiniMaxMod version for this new resizable client:
    • Modding images, sounds and layout just like with the current MMM.
    • Removing avatars (they are not removable unmodded)
    • I'll add seats that will be placed under the players names and stack for optimal readability independent of the background image/font color combination.
    • Edit font size and weight of the player names and stacks.
    • Options to remove all that redundant stuff like next/prev hand number, casino buttons and what not.
    • And well all the other stuff that MMM does today ofcourse.

I'll need some more time than usual for this update, however I don't excpect to take too long for this since I can reuse majority of the code.

I will be updating this thread with any progress towards the next minimaxmod - version v0.9.0

Please feel free to make any suggestions regarding the layout and modding in general. I cannot promise I will be able to do everything but if you have any ideas/suggestions - I'll see if it can be done.

Keep an eye on the thread for updates.

    Next:
Was able to put in a descent amount of work in this weekend. Little preview:
    mmm1q.jpg

Theres still alot that has to be done. Some stuff is still misplaced, the chips are all of the same color because I haven't had the chance to finish them, the seat contrast between folded/active/sitout players is not yet clear enough, no font size edting yet ... uhm too many things to sum up. Basically this is a quick mockup so you would get the idea of the progress. Oh and once all this is all done theres the hotkeys code that will have to be adjusted.
So I'm not going to venture giving any ETAs yet .

    edit: done, yw

Man you are a lifesaver. You've probably heard it before, but without your mod myself and many others would literally not be able to play on ipoker. And I think the sound mods are almost as important as the visual ones - I had to quit paddypower because of the 'buzzer' sound that goes off to warn you have don't have much time left to act. The single most annoying sound I have ever heard come from a pc speaker. Whereas the warning sounds you provide in mmm are perfect for the job and don't induce me tilt off stacks. If playtech had any cop on they would hire you to fix this poker client from the source rather than having to mod it.

Seriously, this guy should be leading the ipoker development team. He is the only reason a % of players are even able to play on this network.
