Got a couple of those new and sealed playstations that are up on adverts.

The iPhone brought me down a few dodgy alleyways to find the place but I got there in the end.

I'd recommend anyone who thinks they might want one to get down there soon. How often do these things ever pop up new and sealed and at a great price and no postage worries.
He's very open to negotiating on price if you get more than 1.

He has about 20 left as of an hour ago. They won't last long.

Got one of the ps1 myself, thinking of getting a box of 4! Dangerous place that end of town :)

Did your Raiden III ever turn up?

No, never turned up and he's not answering any emails....
I can feel some negative feedback coming his way...
Twat, I sent several emails, none replied to, but when I paid him he accepted the payment almost immediately so the @rsehole is seeing emails coming in.

If I could I'd throttle him.
No racial stereotyping here, I'm sure most French people aren't muppets, just this one.

I had a good day yesterday.
Went to one of those cash converter type shops in Balbriggan, probably so the locals can sell their kids toys for hash money, and got MarioKart Wii and a double pack of Bioshock/Elder Scrolls:Oblivion for €13 all together, not too shabby!

They had FFVIII in there when I checked but I was so broke I left it.

My DMG-01 Game Boy arrived today.

Was supposed to be in fairly decent condition but this is what I got.

It's actually in almost mint condition (front and back) except for the screen cover.

    Ahh Dammit

The Game Boy screen has huge vertical and horizontal lines of dead/non working pixels.
I know you can replace the screen or attempt a repair but I was hoping this game boy was ok.

    Baaahhhh

Every GB I've bought on ebay has been like that. One guy even sent me another one after I told him that the original one he sent had dead pixels and it wasn't what I was looking for. The "better condition" replacement he sent me was actually worse.

I've given up trying to buy them as I have about 5 in my closet all with dead pixels from sellers who claim they're in great condition.

Tbh you can get Gameboys easy enough on Adverts and in the markets, where you can try before you buy....

Pretty useless information now that you have bought one that sucks but there you go....

I saw a copy of FFVIII in a charity shop in Swords, if I see it again I'll pick it up for you Retr0

It's grand ciderdude. Sure I have the game already. It was going for cheap and some people are silly enough to spend silly money on that game so I would have bought it to sell it on. It's best it goes to some one that will appreciate it.

The thing about this Game Boy is that the case is in excellent collectors condition and the speaker is also perfect (I'm very fussy).

I might try and fix the screen problem. I did it on a few Game Boys years ago and they all worked afterwards with no lines, but its a pain in the arse.

I'll see what the seller says and then decide.

Just set up one of the Playstations I got today, works perfect and is nice and new :D

I've come to the conclusion that pretty much everyone on Fleabay is a Damn lier and any description is to be more or less disregarded.

Maybe the sellers discover that you wear skinny jeans and decide that they must sabotage the deal in repentance for dealing with a man who would commit an act worthy of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Decided to take a bit of a break from the whole retro game collecting thing for a while and focus on other hobbies. Mainly vintage hifi. It kind of ties in with games as the sound'll be going through it...so not all is lost :D

Scored myself a monster pair of Celestion Ditton 33 speakers over on adverts. They're almost 40 years old and look/sound brand new. Damn 70s technology never ceases to amaze me.

Here's me looking like a giddy moron after just plugging them in.

Were the lines just vertical before? While it's relatively easy to repair vertical lines, it's meant to be next to impossible to repair horizontal ones. I've never even bothered trying with any of my dud screens. Screen protector can be reattached or replaced without any hassle though

I've yet to come across this Gameboy screen issue and I've bought quite a few of them on ebay over the years. Must have just gotten lucky.

What's the cause of the problem?

Thank feck for that o1s! Now the rest of us might get some bargains on eBay :pac:

    Speakers look lovely!

The ones I've fixed before were the vertical lines.
The one has vertical and horizontal unfortunately.

The seller has offered to replace the game boy with another one if I send him the faulty one back.
He needs the faulty one back so he can confirm the serial number and make sure I'm not trying to do a dodgy swap, nice.

Thought I saw bubble bobble 2 there for a minute :O

Kid Icarus really hasn't aged well at all. Played and beat it recently and it's not fun at all. The difficulty balance is way off as well.

    I wish!

It was the Girlfriends favourite game years ago so she was hounding me to get it for a while, so had to oblige!

Used to love that spike ball when was a youngin playing the nes.

Collected a zelda edition sp today from work. In great. Condition. No box or anything sadly, still paid peanuts for it.

Waiting on mario party 3 for last 3 weeks now. Bought one on eBay for decent price consdering what it can go for. Got it a week later. Opened it and I was happy enough with condition of box. Went back to eating cereal. Went got ready for college and was going to look at the box again before I left then realised it was mario party 1.
Never clicked that it was wrong one, mine saw the 3 on the mic and was happy enough that it must of been mario party 3.
Got it sorted with seller and got refund.
Went mad and splurged out 45 for a copy.
    Still no sign.

Got 'Paper Mario The 1000 Year Door' in Cex for €20, is that good? Not too sure really. Never played it before, only the Wii game.

Also got 'Magical Starsign' for the DS in HMV for €7 too.

    Pleased with that now.
