I dunno how he, of all people, is "proving your point about Cammy". Such a smart and legit player. I suppose some players can only understand as much as the names under the health bars when watching Street Fighter.

As for her tier status (topic out of nowhere lol), tell me when I said she wasn't among the top tier? She's strong definitely but I think she's pretty overrated; only really a big problem at lower levels of play where the players aren't solid imo. Happy with their approach to balance if Combofriend meant what he says at the panel, though. Not getting too excited just yet but they seem to be cautious of keeping top tier characters strong while bringing up the lower characters. If they take the emphasis away from her knockdown and make her more solid well that's fine by me. My setups are pretty crap anyway. unblockables are for chumps. TKCS would be glorious.

Yes, I disagree. Firstly, top 24 is pretty close to top 8 when you consider 1600 people entered the tournament. But yeah, I', sure you would have done better

Secondly, he didn't get "destroyed". Their last match was a 7-4 loss. How is that destroyed? He psyched himself out.

Thirdly, players and commentators in the scene longer than both of us and much more skilled deemed his decision to leave his main and counter pick a mistake. Chen and Seth Killian said it on the stream. You think you know more than them? That's some arrogance.

He should have stuck with Cammy. He would have had a better chance than getting completely bodied by leaving her where he never looked like taking a single game.....which is what happened.

I feel they're going about the knife in the wrong way. They keep buffing all his knife abilities, but Cody is generally solid enough that it's not worth trying to go after the knife regardless of buffs.

What they should do is give him an EX Knife Pickup that costs one or two meters but lets him pick up the knife from anywhere on screen. Maybe restrict it so the knife has to be at least visible to grab.

Get rid of his rocks projectile, make knife pickup invincible, put 2-3 knives on the stage.

If the new knife buff is that it will break armor with any hit then its actually very useful in match ups like balrog when he uses armor dash on wake up...

I must say that's an awesome piece of artwork. Too bad there won't be a PS4 version. I might use it as an excuse to get one.

People are struggling with Gen because people haven't a good grasp on the Matchup. Not to take away from Xian at all because he has beaten a lot of the great players with Gen, but I think people are gonna try understand that matchup a lot more, give Xian less of an edge

Thats been there since Super, in fact I'm pretty its one of his trials.

However, looking at the video it does look like they made the hit box on the 2nd hit of his target combo WAY bigger, its hitting Ken from a mile away compared to now. Guy's target combo randomly whiffing on certain characters has been his bane since day 1, and a bug that Capcom have made less frequent with each update, but never eradicated completely, so hopefully this will finally fix it.

Other changes id love to have would be to make his U2 a 0 frame grab, its 1 frame right now and despite a handful of matchups, its not as useful as U1. His Bushin Flip Elbow Drop should also do chip damage seeing as its a special move, and seeing as Kaitin Izuna is a command grab that can be done in the air, it shouldnt be possible for other characters with regular air throws like Guile and Cammy to throw him out of it :rolleyes:.

Guess that rules out anyone from Rival Schools, MvC and Darkstalkers, and thankfully rules out Mega Man.

Why would they say 'fighting game debut' and 'new to Street Fighter' if it were a character we hadn't seen before?

I think it's going to be Carlos Miyamoto with a bunch of recycled animations from SFxT (particularly Yoshimitsu) and I'd love to be wrong.

Capcom have plenty of FG related characters we've never seen fight.

They could finally actually make Sheng Long.

They could use, as we've joked about, one of the dead characters (Go Hibiki that poked out Sagat's eye, Chun's dad. Gotetsu himself come to get revenge on Akuma).

It could be one of Cammy's mates from that unit she's a part of.

I do hope he's a character either from SF or suitable to be in SF. We aint playing SFxT here
