she was fed up with Niall telling lies. He wrote threatening letters to himself at work and was being bribed by franky for information on Mack and Diana.
basically she was fed up with the sh1te hawking.

Why has this soap show not got subtitles in English in evening show but it has in the latter night show .?

This is recorded well in advance so no excuse for that.

Also if you want to learn Irish avoid some TG4 shows even if they are about children singing. And other shows.

I have finally done my “obair bhaile” had year and a half to catch up on. I understand the women empowerment stuff. But most of the female characters are either great manipulators, or super women where they win in the end. For example

Diana Actress was great, but som of the storyline was silly from the small things having “Frankie” saved as “Frankie” on her phone. To the major things being able to overpower not one but two men. Both much larger than her, and one built like a heavy weight boxer.

On the other end of the spectrum most of the male characters seem to be very easily manipulated and\or gullible/ thick for example Mack. The 15/5 per cent will storyline is daft. In reality all they would have to do is get the solicitor to show their copy of Will.

Great to see the actress that plays Aine back, real natural actress. Like a Gaeltacht Saorise Ronan.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

You should send them an email. Maybe it is as simple as pushing a button?

I see another actress is back from the “dead”. Michelle’s mother Cora is played by Carmel Stephen’s. Who played the troubled sister of Tom Doherty - Carmel Doherty in the early days of RnR , took me a minute to place her. Quality actress hope they give her a good storyline. As Cora.

Laoise’s niece Penny was a good idea to put in by the writers. Plenty of scope for her to put her foot in it.

But to be honesty my first impression is the actress who plays Penny (Laura Heeney) is very weak on screen. Sounds like a children’s tv presenter putting on a show , reading lines from autocue.

Watched the last few episodes I am now unsure whether the actress who plays Penny is playing up the characters over exaggerated persona. Big smiles, over the top movements. Or whether that is the limit of her acting. I noticed one of the episodes was co-written by the woman who plays Katy Daly (Bridin Ni Mhaoldomhnaigh).

It was good to see commentary on the social media influencers, where everything is about as far from reality as you can get.

Just caught up there. Funny I believe the “psychological transference” David story line consistent with his character to know that type of thing, plus always the “nice guy”

But I don’t believe the forced rewriting of Imelda. Making her want to show her human side to the community. Far to convenient, considering she felt the community ganged up on her only a short while ago.

Not relevant to the storys going on in the show but I just figured out this evening.

If one turns on subtitles on the TV or box it shows up in English for the week days episodes which don't have subtitles already inserted.

The Sunday double episodes which do have English subtitles inserted in the show if one has subtitles turned on then the subtitles will be in Irish over the English subtitles if you get what I mean.

I think it's great to have subtitles also in Irish to learn spelling of the words.

I'll take a picture later or upload video if it helps understand what I mean.

First off, hi! I’m new to this forum but am a huge Ros na Run fan. I watched the last 6 seasons + the 6 specials/recaps on TG4. I’ve not found a lot of social activity about the show, so glad to find this.
Today i just want to say, poor Terry. Tadhg has been so crap to him . (And yay! So glad to see Mo back this last little while. I just love her)

If you want to watch old episodes there online for years unlike other soaps.

    No subtitles though.

Edit: actually I don't have a TV with Internet connection but if the TV had subtitles on while playing this old episodes maybe the subtitles will show.

I watched the very RnR online on you tube, it has the subtitles in English for the old ones. If you watch on the internet TV via the TG4 player can pick and chose the subtitles for most of them.

Currently there is only Season 25-present on TG4, there is also 6 mini episode/specials. When I started watching it, season 24 was the earliest one available, but it had 15 days left on it (it said, 'available for 15 more days') and then each day it dropped lower until season 24 was removed. Luckily I had only two more episodes to watch so I was able to catch those through a great Ros na Run blog recap. :) Out of fear that the next seasons would be removed before I could finish watching them, I powered through all remaining 380 episodes and now have caught up. I'll probably look for the older ones, pre season 24 at some point also, though my Irish language skills are almost non-existent so subtitles are very helpful.

In “The Queen v Patrick O’Donnell” on TG4 there was at least four RnR actors in it. They were all very good in it.

I like the way they are developing Terry’s character like what the writers did with Pól way back. When he was the misunderstood RnR troublemaker.
Also glad we did not see more of the Jude storyline, it is a really far fetched one. They have to constantly make up flimsy reasons why Jude can’t simply be put back in the home.
