Started on by scumbags in Dublin becoming an everyday occurence?

I've a story to tell all ye folk at after hours.

Dublin has always been bad for the scumbag crowd usually seen walking around in matching addidas trackies and air max runners asking randomers ''Do they want their go?'' but today was the worst I've ever seen it. They must come out in the sun or something.

Anyway I was walking through temple bar with some friends when an overweight teen girl I'd never seen before walked over and asked why I was slagging her mates. I told her I'd no idea who her mates where and I most definitely wasnt slagging them. She responded with ''Watch yerself'' and went to walk away but punched me in the stomach. When she noticed I didn't as much as flinch she decided to hit me twice again in the face, again I didn't even move I just stared at her like she was some pathetic animal :pac: She realised it was going nowhere and hobbled off with her friends.
How would you have dealt with the situation? Anything similar happen to anyone else?

That is unbelievable. I honestly don't know how I would have reacted in the situation. You would only see the likes of these people in the UK (Scotland/England/Wales) and over here. Their parents must be proud :rolleyes:

i wonder if there was a male friend (Or a group of male friends, cowards that they are), waiting for you to 'react'. Thing is, as much as I share the sentiment, I think if such a 'woman' attacked me like this, I'd probably be left a bit flabbergasted. I'd say it would be quite shocking.

Anyone notice in that video clip posted in this thread it looks like the drunk guy in the white jacket accidentally hit the woman in the face and her boyfriend just kicked the cr*p out of him before drunk dude realised what happened or had a chance to apologise?

I think we're a very angry nation and don't think before we react. It's as if we have this attitude of "well you won't get one over on me" when it just comes across as ignorance and stupidity most of the time.

Fair play to the guy who didn't automatically punch the head off a complete idiot of a girl who was just looking for trouble.

Having said that I do agree with people getting what they deserve, so rarely happens though.

Something abit similar happened to me afew years back. I was standing just up the street from a chipper one nite, waiting for a friend of mine, minding my own business and bothering no-one, when this little scumbag of a one bursts out from her flat and tells me to get to "fúck off up the street cos Ill wake the child" I said to meself fair enough, whatever the crazy bitch is havin, and walked up 10 or 15 yards to stand in front of someone elses house while i waited. 2 minutes later shes out on the street again and shouts up at me "Did you not fúckin hear me, i told ya to get up the street!"

I had had a fair bit to drink, and was gettin sick of this fool, so I just shouted back at her I didnt know what her problem and was and to go in to hell out of it. Bad idea! Next thing shes running up the street and lays into me like Mike Tyson, boxing me in the face as hard as possible. I wasnt about to hit her meself, although in hindsight I probly should have done something, but it was the sheer shock of it that got me. She knocked me burger outta me hand, and it was more with the annoyance of losin a good burger - I was full of pints and gaggin for food that I shouted out - you ****in bitch!
She runs back into the house, I thought jaysus what was that? Next thing there was this massive commotion and out comes 3 big fúckers, 2 of em skinheads, shoutin and balling. Me friend who had come on the scene just that second and hadnt a clue what was happening, got an almightly punch in the face that flattened him there and then and only for the intervention of a couple of older fellas who were nearby, I was looking at getting hopped by 3 crazy scumbags.
