Dont suppose you or anyone got pics or vids of this harrassment.Would be a good stimulus for others to go out and make some more noise.Imagine having 2 people with cams one hidden one big and obvious.Taking pics in Jervis and getting thrown out of jervis on camera for ....using a camera. That would be awesome footage.

loool i have pics of the event coz when he tried to remove me i told him that him removing me from dead sea product stall implies that they are israeli products and not american as they advertise or am being randomly selected coz im muslim lol and then he said get out or else he will call the guards i said off wuith ya call them and then all these boycotters from downstairs came up and we sat down on floor refusing to move until ~"mossad apologised."if u have facebook i can add you and show u the pics also i was literaly kicked out of marks and spencers today with 4 other guys just for boycottin coz we refused to put the prodducts back on shelves.

so basically you were thrown out for causing a scene, not for your political views. Those are two very different things.

So, basically, your idea of a boycott is to go into stores, remove products from the shelves and refuse to put them back?
Indeed, it is very surprising that you were kicked out of the store...

emmh sorry but thats how a boycott works.u go into store collect all the items put them in troley bring them to till refuse to buy them while hand out leaflets to customers.the inconvenience of having to put back the stock by the staff only adds to the pressure on headoffice.hence they see this could be a regualr oocurence and to avoid this happening that they should remove these products.and if it was so bad we wouldnt of got large applause from staff and customers in tesco and dunnes and got dunes to comply with us

Before you sat down? Where were you sitting down? Were you actually just sitting quietly, or were you picketing the stand? Did you go there with the intent of disrupting their sales? If so, then is it really surprising that a security guard who is paid by the owners of the centre, who are in turn paid by those who rent out space in the centre, would escort you off the premises?

What you have described is called causing a scene. It's the type of nonsense that damages actually campaigns.

No thats not how a boycott works. A boycott is an active campaign to avoid buying products that support/fund/directly or indirectly prop up a regime. Going into a shop and collecting all the items and bringing them to the till is what we call "shopping".

the inconvenience of having to put back the stock by the staff only adds to the pressure on headoffice.

Yes I'm sure the board of directors of M&S were stuck late in the shop repacking shelves. No wait, that'd be the minimum wage floor staff.

A successful and perhaps more productive method of boycotting would be to try and speak to their union, and get their staff, or the transport staff to refuse to handle Israeli products. Therefore they wouldn't go on the shelves in the first place.

But of course your childish antics have only antagonised these staff.

Oh and if you think I'm making this up.

Dublin honours Dunnes Stores anti-apartheid strikers

In 1984 ten young women and one young man, members of MANDATE trade union, started a long strike at Dunnes Stores in Dublin's Henry Street. They walked the picket line in support of their union's policy of solidarity with the anti-apartheid struggle and boycotting South African products. It only ended when the government agreed to ban the import of South African fruit & veg until the apartheid regime was overthrown.

Dublin City Council is erecting a plaque outside Dunnes on Henry Street to honour the strikers who played a significant role in the anti-apartheid struggle. This will be on Monday, June 30th at 8am (yes, 8am!)
The dispute started when Mary Manning, a 21 year old cashier, courageously refused to handle fruit from apartheid-era South Africa. Mary and her colleagues became a household name in South Africa (and across the world).

hence they see this could be a regualr oocurence and to avoid this happening that they should remove these products.and if it was so bad we wouldnt of got large applause from staff and customers in tesco and dunnes and got dunes to comply with us

Yeah fine, but don't start complaining or suggesting that the staff in Jervis street who ejected you are Mossad or Pro Israeli. You were acting petulantly and being disruptive. Thats fine. You were protesting. But by kicking you out of the shop they weren't showing you that they were pro Israeli, they were just doing their job.

Mossad are active in Ireland. This year has proved it with the stealing of Irish citizens passports and they were taking photographs of the flotilla passengers in Dundalk before the MV Rachel Corrie departed.

And Taramathews I respect you for trying to highlight apartheid.

What has that picture got to do with whats being discussed?

Security services from every country operate in every country they have embassies in. That's a given, something everyone knows and takes for granted. You don't think the Chinese government hasn't got operatives here?

Do you really imagine Hamas haven't got spies?

Maybe the Irish government should take a leaf out of Hamas' book and just execute suspected spies.

I'm also wondering exactly what good boycotting supermarket products will do? Israel is a services based economy boycotting a couple of asparagus is hardly sending them a message is it?

That was a Israeli spy with a star of david.

    I dont see it.

But i think you only see what you want to see anyway.

Now back to the topic. Why would Jervis center security be wearing Star of David on there clothes?

ha ha ha. Must have been a spy he was wearing a star of david. I suppose the CIA all wear black suits too.

    Here's a real Israeli Spy : _47371628_649ac029-1022-48da-85c7-d69d96f4dfce.jpg

His name is Mosab Hassan Yousef, look him up.

Do you think you could spot him because he was wearing a badge!

Its under his jumper silly :P
Btw did you guys not see the star of david badge BB posted or just saying you saw it but dont agree its relevant?
If the latter i can agree its not inherent to have a badge to be a spy afaik.Unless nobody is looking to that person as a spy maybe they appear just patriotic.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,408 ✭✭✭studiorat

    The photo is irrelevant. It's not a photo of a spy. It's a photo of a set-up.

Someone finds a picture of some guy dressed up in black with a balaclava and says it's a spy who forgot to cover up his star of david. Come on...

You don't seriously think that picture is of an Israeli spy infiltrating a Palestinian terror cell do you? Use your head man. Do you think no one else would have noticed? The dude beside him for instance?

You actually think a spy who was working undercover in an enemy terrorist group would wear a necklace on a mission? Come on folks use your heads!!

Thats jpeg compression. Or are we to believe that Mossad spies forget something so basic before infiltrating a Hamas, Fatah rally?

It'd be like someone wearing a rangers shirt turning up at a CIRA rally.

The Seal of Solomon or the khatim (eight pointed) star are similar Islamic designs.

    Incredulity is not an argument.

    No it wouldn't

I should have put it context, sorry. The photo was taken at a Hamas rally.

No sorry. You made the claim it's a star of david. Two other likely alternatively have been offered. JPEG compression or that is was an alternative Muslim symbol.

YOU CLAIM IT WAS A STAR OF DAVID. YOU PROVE IT.
    Incredulity is not an argument.

Yes actually it is, also do you think all those men in balaclavas with AK-47s were mossad spies? How did he get among them? Why?

    No it wouldn't

No you're right, getting exposed as a Mossad spy because you're wearing a star of david would be much much worse.

Are we sure that's an AK-47? Some have mentioned that it's an M-16.

Who took the photo? Was this really a Hamas rally in the first place?
